ive told my ds- but he is only 21 months, so im not sure if he totally gets it yet. ive told him there is a baby in my belly, just like he used to live in my belly.
i hope she/he sticks around!!!!!

nope, we didn't tell him, but i think he knows (at least on some level) anyway. he has made a number of references to babies recently. at one point he brought me a lego thing he made that he said was a baby & showed me the arms and legs and a head and hat ... and another one time, he was rocking an imaginary baby and told me while i was sleeping, he was taking care of the baby. :love

I think ds was trying to tell us! He weaned at 3DPO and then about 4 days before I got a :+ he became obsessed with my belly! All he kept saying was, "want to hug your tummy." And he would pat and kiss and lie his head on my belly. I really think he knew before we did!

We've told him that there's a baby in my belly and that she would take a long, long time to get ready to come out. We're not talking about it too much with him because 9 mos must be an eternity to a toddler. I think when I start to show it will make more sense to him.

That is SO wild! :eek Very cool, though!

I haven't told my son yet. I'll tell him when I start to get a belly....at this point, telling him there's a baby in my belly will make about as much sense to him as if I told him there was a baby in *his* belly. :wink
