First pp AF and Paraguard IUD

Tell me about your first postpartum AF. I can't remember what mine was like with first dd. But my younger dd is 10 months old and just got AF two days ago. I'm filling my keeper every 2 hours and I'm really crampy. This is not like me at all. It's ridiculous. I can't figure out if it's so bad because it's the first one or if it's because of the IUD. And if I get it taken out, how long before this stops?

My 1st pp af was pretty crampy, but since then have not been. ( I have the copper IUD) Only my last period was very heavy, not the others. Wait a few months before you get your IUD out-this flow may have been a fluke KWIM? Plus, I've heard that insurance doesn't always cover the removal if it's been in less than a year.
