I've been having some interesting dreams lately...

I had two dreams that I am pregnant with fraternal twin boys! This is my first pregnancy, so I'm wondering how common this is, to have dreams about the baby/babies? And if it is common, how accurate do you think they are?

Ooh, Marcy, that is an interesting dream! Do twins run in your family? I think it's pretty common to have baby dreams. As far as accuracy, :shrug. What I remember from my dream interpretation books is that a lot of things we dream about are symbolic of something else. Like death can represent major change and transformation but not necessarily dying. Is there something else that twin boys means to you (other than actually having twins)? How did you feel in your dream about having twins?

I get horrible nightmares when I am pregnant. I don't know why - I'm a pretty mellow peace loving person. A couple of nights ago I dreamnt that I was in the house I grew up in with dd. 4 men came in and they wanted to get my daughter and hurt her, so I grabbed her and ran out of the door - except I wasn't running fast enough - like it was slow motion. Then I ran up the hill to the neighbors house and he handed me a shot gun and I shot all the men. They all fell and the ground was covered in dark, dark thick blood. I went over to a closeline that had white sheets blowing in the wind and I covered the bodies, except making sure that the dark blood soaked all the way through. DD was in the neighbors house at this point. It was freaking weird - any interpretations?

I had a lot of bad, horrible dreams last night. Hopefully none of them will come true though. I usually have dreams about snakes, which both times have been boys so who knows. These dreams lately are just because of my past year, so hopefully they will get better with time...

I haven't necessarily had dreams about the baby (although I did have one about the baby last night), but over the past week or so I have had lots of really vivid and really detailed dreams. I usually can remember at least parts of my dreams when I wake up, but I'm having dreams so vivid that they seem real and I'm surprised when I wake up and realize they aren't.

Last night I dreamed that we decided to move into a new apartment with some roommates, and only as we were moving did I realize that we should have told the roommates we were expecting a baby, and what if they didn't like living with a baby, and we didn't really have much room for a baby in that apartment, and then I started freaking out about why we had decided to give up our other apartment and move...

I'm in school for homeopathy right now and we actually talk a lot about dreams. In treating infants, it's actually really helpful to know about the pregnancy and dreams during pregnancy. They can point to the energetic state of the mother during the pregnancy or of her unborn child.

Cool, huh?
