Anyone not feeling tons of movement or are you experienceing the opposite?
I know that as space becomes more confined, baby has less room to move. But I honestly feel like I don't feel her moving much at all. I sometimes feel a foot poking on the upper right part of my stomach or feel a hard lump (her butt) on the upper left moving around a bit. But nothing that is enough to make me stop and think..oh...the baby is moving or ouch this hurts.
She is about -3 and in the proper postion but my pelvis does not hurt or feel any discomfort at all.
My midwife wanted me to keep track of movements and to make sure the baby is moving a lot and if not, to let her know. I could be giving her a daily call then I guess.
Yesterday the MW and doula we examining me and they externally felt her moving and even felt me having lots of BH ctx externally yet I internally felt nothing happening.
When I was in labor with my son, the fetal monitor showed tons of ctx happening very frequently yet I felt none of them. I know the monitor can't really pick up on the strength of the ctx but still...I am wondering if I just lack never endings in my abdomen or something!? :lol

Hey Misty! Mine kind of goes in spurts. For a few days I hardly feel a whole lot and have to move him around to get the reassurance. Then some days he moves around a ton and there is no missing it etc. And he usually gets hiccups a few times a day, I never miss those movements, usually I end up running to the bathroom :) I am sure she is just fine, just cramped in there. Have you tried heat or cold to encourage her to move around?

The last 3 days she has been MUCH slower. I almost called the midwife on Monday cause I was freaking out. I drank juice, ate candy, ice water.....nothing! Then later she got hiccups thank goodness. Then yesterday she moved around some more but it's nothing like it was 3 days ago. Her butt isnt as high as it was so I am thinking maybe she is putting her head lower into the pelvis and it's not as easy to move alot? I dunno, that's my theory at least. LOL

I have never felt hiccups at all. And even when I am in a warm bath...nothing. I can imagine using a coldpack..ouch! ; ) I am sure that Alec would love using the buzzing egg timer to scare her into moving. He already likes setting it an sneaking up on people before it goes off. Note to self: will be throwing noisy timer away before baby is born.

I never felt hiccups with Jevin (but my placenta was in the front so I think that's why). This poor girl has them ALL the time!! LOL I wouldnt doubt it if she came out hiccupping.
LOL about the timer. LOL Jevin thinks he is a dinosaur and he runs up to my belly and says "ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Daphne!" LOL :lol

Mine moves a lot some days, not so much on others. I think they slow down a bit during growth spurts, because it seems like after a few slow days, he's suddenly a much tighter fit in there!
I was actually just thinking of posting about baby movements, because sometimes he does this strange fluttering movement. I know it's probably totally normal, but does anyone else feel movements that are so sudden and spastic it feels like a little seizure or something? I keep reminding myself that babies are generally pretty spastic little creatures...still, it's a little disconcerting!
Misty, it sounds like maybe you just aren't feeling her movements, particularly if your MW could feel her moving but you couldn't. Did you let her know you couldn't feel it? If you can't feel her moving from the inside, can you feel her from the outside like your MW did?

I have up days and down days, or should I sau busy days and quiet days. The other morning after being up in the wee hours for a bit I tried to get some more sleep before the kids got up and my stomach started growling after I laid down and every time it growled the baby jumped. I finally gave up on sleep and got something to eat.

Thank you for typing this, I have been feeling movements like this for a while and it freaks me out. Just doesn't seem normal? But hearing you say it too makes it seem alot more normal I hope? I always told dh it feels seizure like too. It just amazing me he is able to move like that sometimes. In fact he just did it a little while ago, about peed my pants he did it right on my bladder :blush

YES!!! It freaked me out, too. I chalked it up to sneezing. I think I read somewhere that they sneeze in utero, too.
Ditto, it makes me feel better to know someone else has experienced it.

q gets VERY busy in the evenings. last night, s/he was actually hurting me with pointy baby peices. s/he's currently rolling and flailing right now, again, though not as painfully as last night. one of the new favorite things to do to torture mommy is grinding his/her head against my pelvic bone! wheeee!

I was just thinking about this a couple days ago. I was worried because I couldn't remember if it had moved that day, or the day before (I had a particularly stressful couple of days). But I just chalked it up to me not paying attention do to other stuff going on / being stressed. The baby doesn't move nearly as much, it's mostly a foot in my ribs, hiccups, a hand on my hip bone, head on my bladder, etc.

Some days chasing Madeline and Katherine around the house is a chore-and-a-half and I Just Don't Have Time to focus on this babe and then, at the end of the day, I'll think, "Yikes, baby! I don't know if I felt you move at all!!" And, since this usually happens at nighttime, I'm reassured with some crazy sommersaults and hiccups galore -- my goodness does this babe get hiccups like mad!! :bouncy

I've definitely had a slowing down of movement. She's still moving but I can tell she's getting a little cramped in there. The movements are bigger but not as many. It's more like rolling and turning.
I do the same thing you ladies do. It will be the middle of afternoon or evening and all of a sudden I will think...when did I feel her move last??? So I try to have a snack, lay downand pay attention to her for a while. Sometimes she's stubborn and takes a while to let me know she's there. Personality coming out in utero??? hmmmm.....great that's all I need ANOTHER stubborn baby. I can't imagine where they get it from. ;)

This little babe of mine does not stop moving ever!!! Well, at least that's the way it feels. He is always squiggling and stretching and getting the hiccups. I have about 3 weeks to go and I know it's getting cramped in there. He hasn't dropped at all, so all movements are in my ribs!
He moves a lot when I lay down for bed. He was giving me fits when we went out to dinner last night. Hitting me way down low. He was doing it this morning too.
I think I have a salsa dancer or something in there :lol
