is it coming in waves? how frequent? can you have your DH do some counterpressure? what about getting on your hands and knees and rocking back and forth? maybe she's lodged herself in a really bad spot. :(

I used a hot water bottle (the rubber kind with tap water) and it felt a tiny bit better but I am having BH every 4-6 mins when I walk or stand and every 9-10 minutes if I lay or sit. I have no idea what is going in but I think my body is getting something ready. The less I have to do in actual labor is better so I guess these little aches and pains are worth it in the end?! LOL

My body is doing weird painful stuff that like too at night. It's torture!!!
And then she starts kicking the kidney that has a stone in it and just about drives me nuts!
Hope you got some sleep!

I had horrible lower back pain/cramping last night, too. I sat on our little massage chair thing (you put it in the back of a chair and then lean back on it) and then I was STILL hurting so I took a hot shower and then put the birth ball next to my bed and rocked on the birth ball and leaned over onto the bed so belly was kinda hanging between my legs. That helped SOOOO much. ITs the most comfy position in the world and it really gets her off of whatever part of my back she likes to get wedged into.
I hope you're feeling better today. maybe this is the start of something!! :) :) :)

I had tight BH contrax all night, they woke me up 4-5 times but nothing too regular. This morning I have more front cramping. I cannot figure out what the heck my body is doing! LOL
Becca, the birth ball is a good idea. Mine is in the garage, I need to go get it out and clean it! LOL

Are your BH contractions starting to be more low down in your cervix? I no longer get the ones that tighten my whole uterus; just the realllly achey ones low by her head. Ugh, they wake me up sometimes too.
Hmmm...I need a birth ball, maybe Andrea will loan me hers!

Hmm, my lower back is really achy today too. The only thing that's helped so far was taking a nice hot shower and bending over, leaning on the bench seat (it's a stand up shower with a built in seat thingy). The water combined with the leaning over and keeping my belly off of my back really helped.
I wanted to take the kids to the mall today. There's some more baby stuff we need, and I want to let the kids run and play in the play land, and I just want to waste some time. It seems like the days are getting longer and harder now that we're coming to the end.
Desiree, I totally agree with you about all the work our bodies do now and having easier labors. This happend with Ds also. I had regular BH for about a moth before he was born, then when my water broke at 38 wks and I was "officially" in labor it was only 4 hrs beginning to end. :wink I really think it was due to all the prep my body had been doing the previous month.

I hope you guys are right!! I didn't feel a thing with dd until my water broke and then it was so intense and it went from nothing to super active labor within the hour. I was out of my head and couldn't get in control. This time I've had lots of cramping, BH, back pain. Hopefully it will be a little smoother.
Yes...BIRTH BALL!! my new best friend. and leaning over onto something so the hips are rolling on the ball but the belly is hanging free and upper body is supported. It takes all the pressure off of my back.

:nod Yes, I agree, too! While it's really annoying and frustrating to have B/H so frequently and intensely, I think it does help in the long run! I had patterned B/H during my last pregnancy and it was a GREAT birth. So, every time you wonder... is this it??? and why the heck is this SO uncomfortable, just envision the feeling getting your cervix ready for birth. Now... if I can just do that consistently... usually I sit there wondering... what if I go into labor right now!?!? That's just going to make a REALLY long 3-5 weeks!
I like my birth ball, too. Heck, i even put it in my "location" in my profile! :lol
