Dh and I have decided that Saturday is the day, we are getting this baby named :lol

I just downloaded and printed an 80 page e-book on baby name advice, a 50 page e-book of baby names, and a 10 page e-book on narrowing down choices to one (we don't have ANY choices at the moment)

We are also going to the library and looking at baby name books (gets us out of buying them!)

I know alot of people don't feel that NEED to name their baby, but I feel like this little guy is DEMANDING a name, and I'm feeling really bad about not giving him one yet :nut

Anyone else's naming turning into an Olympic event? :lol

Anxiously awaiting the results!! :) We always had names picked out before conception, LOL!! :lol It was really an obsession - they HAD to be named!! I often envy moms who just don't get so worked up about it, hehehe...

(*chuckle*) DH and I have had names picked out since we were 16, so we're feeling pretty prepared . . . although we ARE waiting until we see this little guy-or-girl before we finalize it.

:o DH and I haven't really been talking about it! It feels like, "Well, we have like 4 MONTHS to choose, so why the rush?" But then again, we don't know if it's a girl or boy. I think when you know the gender you tend to want to name it early... even if we had names picked out, we wouldn't be able to use them yet! :lol

Onc in awhile we will throw out a name, but it's usually a joke. "Hey, we could name our kid Chewey!" or something obscure that we would never consider. We did have car ride together for about an hour when we talked about names seriously. We decided on a girls' name right away that we both loved, but couldn't agree on a boys.

We haven't talked about it again, but I'm sure we'll have to start thinking about it more seriously soon!

Well, he isn't quite named yet but DH and I both have lists going. We went through 5 books at the library, and took another 5 home with us.

Now if DH could just get it through his head that we want a happy medium between 'normal' and unusual rather than totally bizarre, we may be able to get this child officially named :lol

Excellent! Way to make a decision. :)

Also, you are brave for letting your family have a say! We told our families that they will have to live with whatever we choose. My mom wasn't too happy about that.

:lol I didn't let ANYONE in on my daughter's name, because I was SO attached to it and I was afraid someone would say something to make me not like it. But this time we weren't as attached, and I figure our families have to live with the name for the rest of their lives too, and I would hate for them to be forced to attach a name that they see as negative to their grandchild that they love, kwim? (Not that it would have made me change my mind, but I think had everyone hated it, I may have at least looked for something else)

Hey, you're on my other due date board! :lol

I have the same usename on both, and I wondered if you might have popped over here. :) Nice to see you, and congratulations on the name choosing! We're still hashing out the middle name. It's rough.

:lol I really did think it was in my siggy, but there is just an "R"!

Her name is Rowan Grace. I had the name picked out since I was 13, nobody, not even my husband at the time was changing my mind on that one! Needless to say I'm a bit miffed at Brooke Shields using it and making it popular only a few years later :lol

Yeppers! I'm here too :) I'm trying to ease out of my username at the other board, too many people know it (like my exhusband), so that's why the one here is different.

Good luck with the middle name, I'm glad we are using a family name for ours, or I fear it would have been worse than finding a first name!
