:irked: <--that about says it all. It's a "good" night's sleep if I only have to wake up once to pee and then can get right back to sleep when I get uncomfy and have to flip sides every hour and a half. Then there are the nights that I manage to wake up every 45 minutes for no apparent reason. :nut

Last night I had to get up to use the bathroom at 2ish which apparently woke the babe who continued to wiggle and kick for 3 hours! :flipped I would almost get back to sleep and then start feeling odd pressure from the stretching babe and be wide awake again.

Anyone else having fun sleeping??

Oh i'm having a grand 'ol time trying to sleep. Some nights i nod right off but have to get up to pee every hour. Then there are nights like last night. I was up until 3am trying to fall asleep.

I got up ate a banana and read a book. Then I had to get up a 5:15 to take my husband to the park and ride. Then the kiddo's to school. I was exhausted and felt nauseous. Today I have my youngest home sick but was able to sneak in a nap.

A few weeks ago I was having a terrible time sleeping-then it seemed like I got a break for about a week. Last night it came back. I woke up at 4:45, and didn't go back to sleep until almost 7:00. It really sucks just laying there trying to be comfortable!

I have insomnia that visits every 3 weeks or so for a few nights, where I either can't get to sleep till 2 am or I wake up at 4 am and can't get back to sleep. It sucks!

I slept for 4 hours straight the other night (due to a week's worth of exhaustion) and it felt like such a "treat." Otherwise I wake every couple hours (sometimes more often) to pee. Some nights I wake up every 45 minutes to switch sides, esp. when hip and back pain are acting up.

I've just gotten into the habit of taking an afternoon nap every day that I can manage it. Like with babies, it doesn't seem to make me sleep worse at night, and I'm just soooo tired in the afternoon. I feel guilty b/c my DD just vegetates in front of PBS cartoons while I sleep, but hey, whatever. If I could get a long, decent night's sleep I'd be happy to give up the nap! Maybe in about 4 years....

Lots of insomnia here.....especially on the night after I've had 2 or 3 good nights of sleep in a row.

My theory is insomnia is our body's way of prepping us for the lack of sleep we're going to get once our babes arrive!

sleep? that's something you are supposed to do at night, right? Ya, not going well here either. If I'm not wide awake tossing and turning, then I'm up every hour to pee or my 2 yo has me up while SHE tosses and turns. Oh and lets not forget dh snoring - that doesn't exactly make it easy to fall back asleep. And my little acrobat likes to start doing flips when I get up to pee - my doc tells me to get lots of rest - I laughed at him last week when he said that

Yep: awake, tossing & turning all night, but I bet I could sleep for hours around 2 pm if anyone would let me...

For awhile now I've been waking up at night several times to pee and flip sides (left to right, right to left) to get comfy but quickly fall back to sleep no matter how many trips to the bathroom I make. Prior to this, my sleeping didn't get interrupted much and I've never had any problems with sleep (lucky me I know).
Anway, wouldn't you know I just started my third trimester. Yesterday I was just talking about sleep and how I haven't had insomnia- I spoke to soon. Wouldn't you know last night I was awake for over 3 hours and could not fall back to sleep despite several relaxing things I tried. So, for me it's looks like insomnia is beginning. Probably my body's way of helping me to slowly adjust to major changes in sleep that will come once the babe is here.

My big issue now is that rolling over from left to right is an effort of monumental proportions. How did ROLLING OVER get to be such a big deal? When did this happen? I can't even actually ROLL! I have to almost get up on my hands and knees and then reposition on the other side.
