Well, we didn't get a chance to start our new method of dealing with stepson & HW issues. He came home last night with a whole new outlook. He's back to normal. He got his HW back from his teachers and his grades were all A's and B's. This is the work we made him do the last couple of weeks against his will. This is what cause him to say all those bad things about me to his mom & VP of school.
He came home yesterday and thanked me for helping him get his grades up. He said if felt good to get those grades instead of what he's been getting. He also got all his signatures from his teachers every day this week (except for one teacher who apparently is too busy??? got to check into that).
He said that it is so much easier when he does it in the first place. Let's hope that's a beginning to something good.
He was also back to being clingy with me. Following me around and wanting to talk to me about just anything. He even wanted me to kiss him good night and tuck him in (he hasn't asked for that in 2-3 weeks). He did manage to try & fart :( on me when I went to kiss him, but guess that's a 12 year old for you. ;)
He and I have always had a close bond. Sometimes he pushes me to my limit. I wonder if he does it to me because he feels comfortable doing it?? I always tell him that if I didn't love him so much I wouldn't be so concerned.
I was always harder on my mom and feared my dad. I talked back to my mom disobeyed her, but I always felt closer to her. Dad, I spoke little to and did exactly what he said, but I did everything I could to stay clear of him. Sometimes I see my stepson like that.
He went back to his mom's today. I'm glad we had a good night together last night before he left. I think I would have been miserable if we left things as bad as they were on Mon & Tue.
