I read that fatigue and morning sickness appear at about 6 weeks pregnant but when I was pregnant before I noticed it a few days before I even missed my period!I was gagging on my morning coffee and when i didint get my period the day i was expecting it ,I took a home test that evening and sure enough it was positive.Last night I had my evening coffee and noticed a queezy feeling that reminded me of that one fine day and wonder if any of you know any other pregnancy associations they dont mention in the books.Ive been fatigued all week as well but hjave had a full plate and i generally go though this in winter anyway so Im unsure. My period isnt due for another week but I have that obsessive feeling of "could I be?TIA!

I understand the obsessive feelings. :) But the pg symptoms are so close to PMS that you could just as likely be pregnant as not. My very first symptom was almost constant burping. THAT'S one that's not on the radar! :) Later I got the frequent peeing (I knew I was pg when I had to get up in the middle of the night to pee... I had never had to do that before.) and mild nausea, sore nips...

Some women report a metallic taste in their mouths, that's another not so common one.

But, don't obsess too much (Yeah right, lol. :)) Because again, all those things if you're having just one or two of them are just as likely to be PMS.

Last time I woke up the morning after conception with the sorest boobs I'd ever had in my life (like I couldn't move my arms without pain, and I had a very small chest at the time). This time, before I expected my period I was minding my own business, taking my vitamins, when out of nowhere I gagged and one popped back out. That's when I knew both times. Haven't had anything too weird, though my Chiropractor recently called me crazy for thinking gagging is a normal symptom (isn't it?). Also the aversions to foods I normally like started around 5 weeks.

I was tired, feeling blase, burping, bloated had tender breasts and my milk ducts were raised. I tested at the doctor's office at 12 days after our IUI. I was feeling this about 7-10 days after. It really was kindof PMS-y but without the cramps.

Holly-gagging when I brush my teeth is always the first sign for me...I thought that was normal too!

With dd I didn't show pregnancy symptoms other than a missed period until I was 12.5 weeks pregnant. With this one I was less than 3 weeks when I started to feel like I had run a marathon. That's how bad my muscles hurt. A few days later it was followed by extreme fatigue and before I even had a positive pregnancy test I had nausea. The fatigue and nausea then lasted until I was about 22 weeks pregnant. But although I didn't through up it was really severe fatigue and nausea.

For me the earliest symptom was peeing! I thought I was coming down with a bladder infection, I was peeing so often (this was the same week I ov'd btw -- just a few days after conception) and began drinking cranberry juice like mad :lol

I also felt a little rundown the first few days following conception but my inlaws had been here and one of them was sick so I could have caught her bug. No way to know. *shrug*

Next up would be cramps but that was about a week or so later (during implantation likely), followed by a +++ test, which I took prior to AF being due. Didn't have any implantation bleeding, and barely spotted when AF would have been due (did this month two as well, which is normal acc'd to my m/w).

Nausea and serious tiredness hit around 6 weeks (4 weeks after conception), breast tenderness and swelling around 7 or 8 weeks I think? I was already in drawstring pants and a new bra by 8 weeks though.

Can't help you with the coffee reference as went off caffeine while ttc (wow I miss it too!).

Good luck to you -- hope it's positive!! :)

I have a love of extremely spicy foods. Early, early on in this pregnancy i was eating Ethiopian and got *incredible*
heartburn. I couldn't finish my meal! I have a stomach of asbestos except when i am pregnant. Also, i love coffee, and i couldn't stomach that either.

When I was pg with DS, I was charting and I had had several months with close calls - where I was sure I was pregnant but I wasn't. When I was pg with DS, I thought for sure I was getting my period - crampy, blue, crabby, ugh. My temps were all over the place but I was travelling. Then we went for a hike at high altitude and I was so out of breath that I was nauseaus - that never happened. That's when I thought... hmm... maybe. Came home and Day 14 temps were still elevated, that never happened. Took a test, bam. Then of course, took four more! And got a blood test :)

This time around, the month before I was SURE I was pg but wasn't. With this pregnancy, thought I might and decided on a fluke to try a pg test at 10 dpo. Positive - confirmed with a blood test the next day.

When TTC I have my doc write a standing order for an HCG level, so that as soon as I get a positive HPT, I'm off to the lab. Why doubt an HPT - better to know 100% asap, IMHO.

For me it's the tingly nipples. I can feel them just days after conception.

Is it normal to be out of breath during the 1st tri? This has been causing me serious anxiety! I can understand it once the baby pushes everything up, but right from the start? If this is normal, please tell me so I can stop thinking I'm going to die!

Congrats on the + home test. I rcvd my + almost a week before I was due for period with this pg. My Ob ordered a 6 wk u/s to confirm and we saw our healthy lil bean and heartbeat, so it's possible. From my babes development in utero and early + testing, I think I must ovulate early in my cycles though.

With all three I have known before testing: extra sensitive breasts, extra sensitive to smells, tastes and my abdomen just swells quickly so I have that bloated feeling early on.

The 1st trimester shortness of breath is normal. It is hormonal. And should get better when you hit 2nd tri. That is until the babe gets big enough to squish your lungs. Take slow deep breaths and don't panic.

Thank you so much! I just kept thinking it's only going to get worse as the baby grows, and how will I ever be able to handle it by then :nut I keep forgetting that hormones can cause some crazy things to happen, dh keeps reminding me. I thought I was just so out of shape I couldn't even breathe sitting still, so of course the thought of giving birth was really scary. Thanks again!

About a week after we conceived I was EXHAUSTED and that kept up until... well, I'm still tired very often now at 18 weeks! But it let up a lot about 15 weeks. That's how I knew I was pregnant. At 4 weeks I started getting sore breasts and got the sniffles (which have yet to go away!). At 6 weeks I started getting a bit of morning sickness.
