I have had bedtime troubles with ds for what seems like forever. at least the last nine months- when I started wanting to go to bed earlier- or not nurse to sleep.( PG)
Anyhow- for the last two nights ds has stayed with grandma and grandpa at the hotel- in case I went into labor( did not)- first night he did awaesome- 2nd night- a little bad- but she got him down within an hour- gently.
they all stayed here last night- and I DREADED the fight to go to bed. He continually pulls at my shirt trying to nurse- and I end up giving in- he says he needs food, or ANYTHING to get to stay up a bit-
Well- I feel like I have conquered a small battle.
Dh sat on the edge of the bed and did most of the talking. while I rubbed ds's back and legs and arms. HE FELL ASLEEP!
He fought for the bobbies( taht is what he calls nursing) for a while- and cried a small bit( he is 2.5) but we stood firm together that mommies bobbies were resting. I would say the whole thing took about 20 minutes.
I have hope! I have been driving him around to sleep because I could not stand the fight.
HE has been asleep to the entire night! ( if I nurse him he is up constantly)
