There is really great holiday project going on at MDC and I thought I'd post here and make sure that any homeschooling families who might be interested in participating (either by being a MIN or Helper) know about this thread.

They are looking for gift certificates, Paypal funds, gently used clothing & toys, home made items, new items, pretty much anything and everything that you might be willing or able to donate.
As I'm sure many homeschooling families do so by sacrificing a second income, chances are that there might be some homeschooling families that could use a little helping hand around the holidays.
But probably most of us have some outgrown or unused items lying around the house that we could mail off to someone who could put them to use. (if you don't have money for postage, there are even people who have donated money for the postage!).
Every year, we like to show our children that some children aren't as fortunate as they are (then again, we've had our moments where we didn't know how the bills were going to get paid, etc.) so we ask them to go through their toys and find if there are any they would be willing to give away. We don't force the issue but so far, they have always found items that they felt another child would be happy to receive and that they would not be pained to give up.
Happy Holidays to Everyone!
