YIKES. I am due Tuesday and I think I have the flu. My son was throwing up sporatically yesterday and refusing food today too, and he had diarrhea today. Tonight I threw up, even though I've barely eaten today. Afterwards I had lots of cramping, then took a bath and then collapsed into bed. Now I'm up with insomnia (now that DH and DS FINALLY fell asleep)...and still feeling kind of queasy. And hoping that tonight is NOT the night...geez, what if I get diarrhea and it throws me into labor?

Any suggestions? I took a homeopathic remedy - oscillicilium or whatever that flu medicine is called.

Sorry no suggestions, other than to just rest as much as you can. I hope you're feeling better soon! :hug

Hopefully it's just something you ate? Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow!! Flu is usually not throwing up but more like chills, body aches, etc.

I'd keep taking the Oscillococcinum just in case though. That sucks to feel so miserable in the last stage of the pregnancy game!

In my experience sickness in the house just keeps the baby inside longer. It's seriously like they KNOW.

My DD waited until my son was over the Rotovirus and my DH was over an awful form of bronchitis my mother brought back from India. (it was a WEIRD time for them both to be sick and I was getting worn out taking care of them both) The day my DH was feeling normal was the day she was born.

Hope you get feeling better soon! :hug

That's good to hear (that babies tend to wait until the sickness coast is clear)! Other than the occasional weird contraction, there are NO signs that this baby is interested in coming out anytime soon.

I feel so lucky - I'm getting some help today. Right now Im waiting to see the doctor, and my friend/babysitter met me at the office and took DS. Then his main babysitter is coming over to help me out this afternoon. It takes me forever to ask for help, so it's so rare that I get two in one day. Guess I should ask more often....

Still haven't eaten anything but Recharge, but am going to try to eat a muffin soon. And watch some TV at home...

Sorry to hear you're sick...totally crappy timing!
I'm totally vegging too. I'm calling in the troops (my grandparents) tomorrow because it's really hard for me to get through the long day feeling so ill. During my last birth, my mom had a sinus infection that I got two days postpartum - and was sick for Noel's first two weeks. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen this time.
Hope you're already starting to feel better! :)

Today I took it pretty easy, but I still haven't eaten much. Let's see, two big bottles of Recharge, one latte (go figure!), a muffin, some noodles that made me feel ill, some pretzels and some minestrone soup. My gosh, will my baby be okay? At least I'm not throwing up. And no signs of labor yet, which strangely enough I am celebrating.
