:(
I feel SO funky. I am jsut wondering if anyone else has had this too.
Yesterday we just sorta hung out and did pretty much nothing. Then, at dinner, I took my vitamins and fish oil pills after having a salad... Then I started eating dinner and BAM! allof a sudden I was sick. I had NO warning whatsoever and had to RUN to the bathroom. (This never happens to me. I have some kinda internall warning system that lets me know- you are gonna chuck in... a few minutes..) then i went back and finishe dmy dinner no problem. Wierd.
Then, this morning I got up feeling supergood. All chipper and rediculous for a monday morning. About 9:30 I started feeling REALLY. Funky. Weak, out of breath like big time, and like I feel like I'm on the edge of blacking out if I get up and move too much. I have eaten and had water - I had oatmeal and water, then when at work I had cran-grape juice and a doughnut.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is my little one just sapping all of my energy today? I am entering week 24 tommorow, and from what I read this is the beginning of another big growth spurt. She is movng around like CRAZY today after a few days of being fairly quiet except nights.

I don't have any answers for you, kellykins--very weird! But I'm sorry you've been feeling so crappy. Ugh. :Hug

Sounds like more solid protein would help out these low bloodsugar episodes.. and yes, the huge growth spurt does that to us. Sucks our glucose right out. Try eating every 2 -2.5 hours with some kind of protein (egg, meats, or veggies sources if vegetarian). I like toast with a slice or two of cheese and 3 or 4 slices of sandwich meats (but i don't get the store processed kind, i get fresh from the butcher...). Nuts are good too.

Anyway, that is what I do to avoid those lovely moments of pukiness and sudden weakness. Hope it helps you out!

Awwww... :hug

I was sick a week ago...my theory was that it was food poisoning, and my body was especially eager to get rid of it before it affected baby. Who knows, though, right?

Given how rapid this change is for you, I'd give your OB/midwife a call. It's probably nothing, but they should know about it. There may be other symptoms you're experiencing that would give them a clearer idea of something they need to do, etc. Feeling a sudden change can be nothiing or it could be something. Never hurts to check.

I've been feeling a little weird, too, lately. I have felt really tired and weak, and very achey and uncomfortable. There were a few days when I was wondering if there was something WRONG with me or the baby. I think it's mostly that I had a cold this week, and it just got to me. I just got over having it a couple of weeks ago, too. Plus, where I live, they are ginning cotton, which makes EVERYONE sick, and we've had fluctuating weather. I mean, there was snow in some places last Sunday, and then this Saturday, it was 80 degrees! Good ole Texas weather! I feel alot better today.

It also occured to me that my sprout was going through a growth spurt, and I bet that can have alot to do with it. Between all the illnesses going around this time of year, and the growth spurts, I bet that's what's going on with you. I hope you start to feel better :wink !

I think protien might be the key! I had a PB&Honey sandwich and chips wth queso for lunch and felt a bit better. Then I ran around with a 3 year old (a friend/coworker brought her little guy in) for a little bit and I feel better too. Still think she is having a party in there, I have not felt her be so mobile ever before!

I have to eat every 1-2 hours or I feel like total crap. I can't always eat that much so I feel crappy a lot. Hope this passes soon for you.

Sounds like the flu that has been going around Michigan. Hope you're feeling better!

Yuck, no fun at all! :( I was tired so I took the day off. It's the first time I've done it since the pregnancy began. I think it was a good idea -- I got to rest, eat and drink the day away.

Sounds like a good way to spend the day when feeling yucky...eating drinking and napping freely...
I think its too warm for the flu to go around here yet. Tommorows highs will be chilly compared to the past two days here - high of 66. :P

Sending "feel better" vibes to everyone!

I've been feeling the same way and have felt like this for most of the third trimester in each pregnancy so I'm not worried about it, just sucks. We're all getting closer to the birth days though!
