now im really freaking out! i ordered the supplies for the birth center (all those HUGE pads, the birth certificate, etc. etc.) but DH didn't fax it in to the co. until last Thursday (i gave it to him a LONG time ago but he hates placing orders that costs him $).
what do i do if i go into labor? i looked at some drug stores and didnt see the large pads that i am supposed to have.
hmmmmmmmmm....is this really the reason the babe has to stay in for awhile longer??? :(

my Rite Aid has some pretty huge pads that i use under DS in our bed...the kind that my birth center uses...i'm not sure if that's what you're talking about...

you can use potty training pads for doggies if you are desperate. They should work right?

Grocery stores around me usually have them with the incontinence stuff like Depends.
Not sure who you ordered from but the place I order through (inhishands.com) ships super fast.

My order from Cascade also only took a couple of days, so my guess is it'll arrive quickly! :thumb

i don't want to freak anyone out, but my midwives told me another client ordered her's TWO WEEKS AGO and it hadn't arrived. i was really surprised, because i got mine in a matter of days. granted, it took them nearly another MONTH to priority mail me two herbs that were on backorder, but it was pretty quick altogether. i hope this woman's experience is out of the norm for them!

there was a list of things i needed to bring. im sure they do have some things there but i ordered ones for afterward also, a cute birth certificate (for framing and w/ the stuff to do the feet prints), some massage oil, etc. I really wanted to have this stuff before labor.
im just so grumpy right now that im upset w/ dh about everything (the camera, the birth supplies, getting home late for dinner so he will be able to take 2-3 weeks off when babe is born), etc. etc. etc.
i need to go find my grumpy shirt! oh, it wont fit. never mind.

well, DH is such a lucky dude! the birth supplies came today. im so happy. now all i have to do is get a new battery for the camera (and see if that is the solution) or get a new camera (well, that will be a feat i tell you!).
can anyone see a very prego woman squeezing $$$ out of the hands of her dh in best buy or circuit city? maybe running down the aisle to check out quickly while dh runs after he telling her its "too expensive"...we should shop around a little more, we really do have time? lol! possibly w/ prego woman screaming from labor pains telling dh they have to get to the birth center (an hour away) SOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!
do you think they would make me listen to their spill on the warranty information at checkout? lol!
i think im gettin delirious w/ all this non-activity!

Glad your stuff came, Rach!
I'm waiting on some nursing bras I ordered a while ago, and it will be a race to the finish to see which gets here first: baby or bras.
I know I can survive a bit without them, but it'd be soooo nice if they made it in time! Hopefully, your good fortune will rub off on me.
Hope the battery works. If not, happy camera shopping. :D
