this wee one was conc. after secondary infertility, I have pcos and was on clomid. DD was conc. on clomid as well and I have taken progesterone supp. with previous 2 pgs as well. With dd and ds I was on 25mg am and pm. This time its 50mg in the pm and is so much more convenient. I will continue to 12/14 weeks with it. Just wondering if anyone else is on it??? Any side effects?

So far I am taking prog. cream and am off to an endocrinologist tomorrow to check all my hormone levels. I have insufficient glandular tissue, which the "experts" say is the only symptom you need to have of PCOS to diagnose you with it. I found out I had IGT after the birth of my daughter, when I had the hardest time producing enough milk for her (I never got to a 100% bm but it wasn't for a lack of trying) and at that point IGT was the only symptom I did have of PCOS. This time around we had some more fertility issues conceiving so who knows if it's progressing or not..
What kind of symptoms do you get with the stronger prog. supps?

I'm on 90mg, 1x day in the evening. Dr actually prescribed Crinone, which is pregestin. I will only take it until this prescription is gone, then will switch to prometrium, 100mg.
Drowsiness is the most commom symptom.
Nice to see you here Jenn!

I'm on a natural progesterone cream, not for fertility problems but for my thyroid. I am planning on remaining on it until about the 30th week.

I'm just really glad I can get pills to swallow instead of the suppositories! The first prescription I got (few years ago now) the pharmacist asked if I wanted the applicator for the vagina or rectum! :blush Yikes!
I took progesterone for the first trimester of DD's pregnancy, and I take it for the 2-week-wait any month we're TTC, too. Never noticed any side effects.

Finally got my results back from the doc, prog was 25 yay~ So I'll keep doing what I am doing, prog. cream, b vitamins and pregnancy prep until 12ish weeks when I'll start weaning! I think the cream really helps of course my endo. didn't think they worked at all, oh well who knows, as long as something is working right. Glucose came back in a normal range too, just waiting still to hear back on the insulin...

Were all of you having spotting or any other symptoms that would point to low p? I *just* found out I'm pg :bouncy --I think due about August 22. I was spotting a week or two ago, but I've stopped since this past Friday.
Sigh...I'm getting my levels checked today and again Friday, so I get three days to obsess about this :)

I was using the cream, it think 25 mg 2x a day for my cycles, then just continued with that for my pregnancy. When I went to the doc. he wasn't happy that I was using the cream. He said there wasn't enough in it, and that is why I could buy it over the counter!! So he prescribed my prometrium 200 mg 1x a day!! it does make me tired, but I take it at night!! What do you all think about that? I thought that the reason the prometrium was so high of a dose was because it gets absorbed into your liver, and the cream absorbs into your fat. He told me everything goes into your liver. and that I am not doing enough if I want to do everything I can to try and keep this baby.!!!( we have a history of m/c)
Thanks

Yup- me too! I am due with #3 in late Aug. I am taking IM injections every night. (Actually I am sitting here rubbing my tush with a hot face cloth trying to work it in. :lol ) It is in sesame oil, is very thick, and I've got a lumpy bruised behind from it. :o
I conceived via ivf, and am happy to do it. :love With my other two I used crinone morning and night for the first trimester. I actually think the IM injections might be easier than the goopy, gloopy stuff leaking 24/7 with the suppositories.
Hope everyone is doing well.
