Hi Mamas

Last week I found out I was pregant - big surprise!!!! Ds is only 10 mo. old, and I was going to wait until he was almost 3 to start trying again! So I am in a little bit of shock having to re-org all my plans.

I was planning on quitting work at the end of this month and working from home. Now I have to stay at work until April, so I can get maternity benefits. This also means I have to find care for my ds which is stressing me out to no end.

I'm also a little freaked about the nursing situation as I pumping at work, want to nurse ds1 until he's at least 2, and I am so tired, I am getting super bitchy for the middle of the night nursing.

Wow. I didn't know this was going to turn into such a rant. I'm usually more positive than this.

I'm just having faith it will all work out. I also have this feeling this baby REALLY wants to be here.

Welcome Rebecca . . . and congrats!

Sorry it's starting out stressful for you, hopefully you'll be able to fall into a rhythm. It'll be nice that your kids are close in age because they will likely play well together and grow up as close friends. And they'll be on a similar nap/play schedule too. What a nice benefit!

Glad you're here.

Hey Mama!
I have a almost 9 month old so I know! I'm sorry that you have to rearrange your plans to be at home....sometimes babies join us when we're not ready but you know once your baby starts kicking and squirming away you'll be madly in love! HUGS

Yeah - we have someone to look after our baby!!! I am so relieved. The mama who used to live downstairs from us has a dd one month older than my ds, and is one month more pregnant than me. She decided not to go back to work, but saw our notice in our building's bulletin board and said she wants to take care of ds. She's a really good mama to her dd, understands my food issues (he's on an allergy prevention introduction diet.) She lives in a different part of the city now, but is willing to drive to us everyday and take care of him in our apartment (her parents live just down the hall, so that makes it even nicer), or take him to her home. Ds likes her and will have a playmate of the same age and I trust her. I am so happy.

Thanks for the welcome kindermama and jenmk. Kindermama - its nice to know someone else is having a similar experience. Was your dc on-the-way planned?

I am feeling more comfortable now. I also am not as sick as with my last pg. I am taking nux vomica which really seems to be helping.
