At last check, I have gained 9lbs I think? I donno, my scale and the Dr's scale differs. I am officially heavier than I have ever been before now!

6 pounds which is a big gain for me. I lost throughout my last 2 pregnancies.

Um... at last check I was at +20. My OB is looking for a 35-45lb weight gain because I was so underweight to begin with.

I have gained somewhere between 24 and 29 pounds, since I don't know exactly where I started (my weight was still kind of slowly stabilizing after weaning my son and my scale is terribly off). So looks like I'm on pace to gain about 40, just like last time. Hopefully it will come off easily again...

My midwife is very happy with my weight gain.

I've gained 16 lbs at 26 weeks. My midwife doesn't keep track of my weight, she says it's rarely an indication of anything.

My midwife only weighed me 2x when I was pregnant with my son, so I guess they think similarly to switzerland midwives?

This pregnancy, I have lost 15.4 lbs. No idea if I have gained anything since week 19 when I stopped puking finally. Probably a pound or two of just baby and fluids.

I think I gained around 21 pounds. It doesn't look like I put on any fat really, but I must have, because the baby, extra blood, boobs, placenta, and fluid couldn't all add up to 21 pounds. I am not sweating it; I have to talk myself down from being panicked over gaining weight, but trying to remember that its ok and nursing & exercising when its all over will help.

I don't think weight really matters, either, unless it's an extreme loss or gain. But it does help to know there's a big range that's considered healthy, so I'll post my gain so far: 12-14 pounds. My midwife checks in with my weight, but we weigh and report if we feel like it. I gained 24lbs. with Meg, so I guess I'm a little ahead of the game. Eventually, it all came off, or out, or whatever, anyway. ;)

warmly,
Kam, mamammama! to Meg and one more

i am 1 day shy of 26 weeks and have gained 9-10lbs so far. baby is measuring fine and i am eating good, so no worries here. i think weight gain or lack there of causes way too much stress.

Er, have to re-estimate how much weight as I just read that around 27 weeks babes average around 2 pounds.. so I guess with fluid and all.. around 4-6 lbs I have probably put on since 19 weeks. *grin*

I can't believe they weigh so much already! Wait, I do.. OUCH! (nice shot, girl... 3 points I am given ya! (cervix & bladder, right ribs, and my stomach all with one fiesty movement, heheh)

Welp, I will be 27 weeks tomorrow & I have gained 23-25 lbs! Yikes! I *always* weigh 118 lbs & with both of my Dd's I weighed 145lbs AT BIRTH - LOL, I'm already at 141-143lbs!!! 13 more weeks, wonder how much I'll weigh in the end? Maybe the boy makes the difference? I did hemmorhage at 12 wks & was on bedrest for a week & have been slightly lazy since then, that's probably why. Plus, I worked through my previous pg's & this time I'm a SAHM. I think it's a hoot!

Just about 27 weeks and it's 10 pounds so far.

I think I've gained about 20lbs.
Interestingly with my first I didn't gain anything more than 5lbs until at least 6 months, then gained about 20-25lbs at the end. For my second I gained almost all my weight by 6 months then held relatively steady. This one looks to be the same way as #2.

I'm curious to see how much I weigh at the end--each time I've started out at a different weight, but ended at about the same weight, so I'm thinking that my body might just have a size it likes to be for birthing.

I have gained 21 lbs. It freaks me out alittle, but I just remember that I am pregnant. This is the way it is and should be. I don't feel like I have gained alot either though. I really only see BIG boobs and a belly.

As of a month ago, I've gained 27 lbs, so I'm assuming more like 30 by now. I feel great! I'm not worried at all.

Lets see... I weighed 185 when I got pregnant, lost 5 lbs while pregnant (to 180), and had only gained 5 lbs the first 6 months. In the last month I put on (yikes! 10 lbs!), which puts me at 195. so a total of 15 lbs so far, which is already too much since I am starting out overweight. My goal is to not go past 200. Last pregnancy I had gained 50 lbs, which put me at 220 when I delivered. I felt huge and was very uncomfortable. This time I have been feeling so good, and I am starting to feel the pressures of the last 10 lbs. I haven't been walking every day like the first 6 months, so I need to go back to that so I don't get too uncomfortable, and cut back my sugar intake!! Lots of work ahead!

As of Friday, I've gained about 17 lbs. I'm 27 weeks so I think that's right on target, which is surprising to me since I've had a few "mmmm... milkshake..." moments over the last few weeks. On the whole, though, I eat pretty well. The dr tracks my weight just to make sure nothing excessive is going on (like if I gained way too much over a few weeks, he'd worry about excess fluids or something) but it's not anything that he seems too worried about.

I think I've gained more than 10 but less than 15. I'm not sure. All I know is I hate it, my husband loves it... He likes the curves so that's nice, helps me accept the weight a little easier.

I can't believe how little some of you have gained! Did you all lose alot with morning sickness?

I lost about 5 lbs. in the first trimester, not from throwing up, but just from not eating due to nausea. At 24 weeks, I had gained 18 lbs. I'm now at 28 weeks, so I know I weigh more. The funny thing about me is all the weight seems to be going to my belly. Alot of people say that they don't notice I'm pregnant until they see me from the side. Then when I tell them when I'm due, they act shocked, like I should be having it any day now, because my belly is so big. I can't even imagine what it will look like in another 3 months!! I'm short, so I think my belly looks bigger than it really is. I'm measuring at a normal size.

I guess I've gained 3 pounds? I'm 25 weeks. I can't see that it makes much of a difference as long as we're eating when hungry.
I started at 140, went down to 130 during morning sickness, then almost immediately went back up to 140 after it ended and I started eating again. Then I gradually got up to 144, got the stomach flu and lost a pound, and I've been at 143 for two weeks. In any case, my weight has certainly rearranged--I'm all boobs and belly! ;)

As of my 28 week appt today, I'm up 17 lbs. At 24 weeks, it was only 9.5 lbs. I ate a ton of junk this weekend and was wearing heavy clothes, so I suspect it would have been more like 15 if I'd been weighed a few days ago.

Last pregnancy, I'd gained 23 lbs by 28 weeks and I started 5 lbs heavier, so I'm more than 10 lbs lighter than I was before. I gained a total of 35 lbs last time (I stopped gaining at 36 weeks, then went 2 1/2 weeks overdue). So weeks 20-32 are the huge gainers for me. If I can average a pound a week for that period, I'll be excited. I think I'm on track for 25-30 lbs gained.

I am 25 weeks and have gained 20 lbs so far. I gained 30 total with my DD, so I am gaining more this time. It doesn't help that all I eat is crap lately because I am too tired to buy or make healthy meals. *sigh* And of course I am too lazy to excersize now.... I need to snap out of this energy funk.

I'm not so concerned about how much I gained, but how unhealthy I am right now. blah

Hmm. I don't know, exactly. We don't keep a scale in our house, and my last MW appt. was 3 wks. ago. Here's my guess, though...

Between 0-18 weeks I lost, then regained, 15 lbs. (thankyouverymuch nausea & diarrhea)
At 22 wks. (last appt.) I'd put on 3 lbs. over my starting weight.
I'd guess that now (at 25 wks.) I've put on another 5 or so lbs. (Ben & Jerry's to the rescue. :wink) So I'm probably 8-10 lbs. over my starting weight.

Sooo...my net gain is pretty pathetic, but I think my progress (since I stopped losing and started gaining) is worth a pat on the back. Good job, self!

Will find out for sure in a few days, at my next MW appt.!

I'm at 28 weeks and I've gained 20 lbs so far. I'm sooooooo uncomfortable. You'd think by the third time I'd remember how miserable the last months are....but no. I don't remember being this uncomfortable with my other two, not even the first one who I gained 80 &^$%# lbs with. I'm measuring 32 wks maybe that is why my belly feels so hard, I can't breath, sleep, or eat. :crying

I'm blessed to be pregnant. I will just be VERY happy when this part is done and she's in my arms. :)

Hey there! I live in Seattle and am due at the beginning of March. I have gained 20 pounds and my doc doesn't have anything to say about it. So hang in there, and don't feel fat! Pregnancy is a beautiful thing and only comes a few times in a woman's life. As women we should really embrace the beauty of it (for once in our lives) and not feel fat!

16 pounds here - at 29 weeks... But I started above my ideal weight, so I'm trying to keep one eye on scale while feeding my body everything it needs for the babe...

Hah! The joke is on me! I just found out Wednesday that I'm actually having TWINS!!! It wasn't just me, my belly IS big! They didn't weigh me at that last appointment, though, so I don't know how much I weigh right now.

Ay 26 weeks, I am down about four pounds. I did this last pg and at the end, I think I had gained only 6-8 pounds overall. I am a good60 pounds overweight to begin with, so it's not a big deal. I am not trying to lose - I think it's just because I am eating better and am losing the weight I gained from unhealthy eating habits prior to being pg.

Finally....I've been gaining an average of 10 lbs per month for the last couple of months. Had an appt.yesterday, and I only gained 6 this month! Woohoo!!! Somehow my body used those cookie calories up. Just think how much less I would have gained if I hadn't eaten all that sugar!

Had my midwife appt. today, and it looks like I guessed right: I'm up 9 pounds from my starting weight. Gained 6 lbs. in the past 4 weeks. So if I keep it up, I should gain enough by 38 weeks. Yay!

I had gained about 20 in the first 27 weeks, but I notice that with 12 weeks to go and not really changing anything, its really starting to pick up....I think I gained almost 2 pounds just since my appointment last Thursday. If it continues I should be right on target.

Please, please let it not be a 10 pound baby!
