i am willing to bet good cash money this baby ain't comin' this week. or next week. in fact, i'm willing to bet i am the LAST to give birth in every due date club i'm in. seriously. the new year will come and this child will not have budged.
anyone want to make some fun bets? like a ddddc for the chick who births last? like I WIN TEH LATENESS or something equally silly. 'cause i am totally willing to buy a ddddc if someone makes it longer than i do. :P

according to my lmp, it would be dec. 15th. however, i think i ovulated later, so the date on my charts is dec. 25th.

You are so lucky that they listened to you about your due date! My husband and I have been trying to get ours changed from the 14th to later (21st maybe) for the entire pregnancy, but they refuse to do it. They say the ultrasound is "conclusive." Apparently, we don't know when we had sex. :mischief The OBGYN in my midwife's group even told us that "the date of conception has little to do with the due date," which made us laugh.
Seriously, though, did you have to fight to get it changed? How did you do it? I'm worried that now I'll go "over" and have to do the NST a few times just to prove that the baby's ok.
That said, I am awake at 2:45 this morning with contractions, so maybe we don't know when we had sex! If it comes out today, we'll just smile and agree with them about everything! :wink

I'd almost bet on myself. Except that because of a hospital birth, there are 'policies' and such regarding overdue babies. I'd fight if I had the strength. Unfortunately, as I'm less than a week out from my edd and already getting impatient, by the time my edd has come and gone (which I'm completely betting on... both girls were induced at 42 weeks overdue, this one seems to be right on track) I'm not sure I'll be in a good frame of mind to try to hold out longer. Besides, I'm so determined that this babe WILL be born in December... that I think I would have some sort of breakdown if he/she weren't. Something about carrying over until 2006 seems completely unimagineable and completely non-doable.

i have long cycles (the only textbook cycle i've ever had was when i concieved my daughter!), so the midwives were more than happy to agree with me. i haven't had a u/s with this pregnancy, so i avoided that trap, luckily. i'm sorry they won't listen to you.
