Announcing Makayla Lee

Well i've been gone a long time, finally got back online, just intime to have the baby.
Makayla Lee was born 12/12 @ 3:30 in the afternoon, 8lb 2oz, 20 1/2in

After nearly 3 weeks of contractions 2-3 min apart i was literally minutes from a C-section(docs were scrubbing up) she finally moved and was born very fast.. doc and dh nearly missed it :lol
She had the cord around her neck kinda tight and was blueish at first but fine after a minute.
Both home now and doing great, looking forward to sleping some tonight.. milk came in and she stuffed herself..lol This has been my easiest recovery so far.. i was up walking around about 30 mins after she was born and feeling good, no tearing so virtually no pain besides a few cramps here and there .. after such a miserable last 3 months I guess i earned some points to go for easy recovery :nut

congrats to all you other new moms and for those of you waiting... you'll be in my thoughts and prayers and will be watching for your announcemtns as well :)

that little lady likes a deadline, doesn't she? (my first was 7hrs from induction, we always joke that like his journalist mama, he performs well under deadline pressure :)

so glad all is well and congrats to you and the family! enjoy being unpregnant because it sounds like you really had to earn it, eh?

3 weeks of contractions 2-3 minutes apart? oh my goodness!!!!

glad to hear all went well but oh my, i dont think i can go that long! i have been having constant contractions for 2 days now and i really really need to go!

hope you figure out the pix soon...would love to see her!

update for now, pretty much recovered physicly, makayla is sleeping aout 6 hrs of the night.... whoohoo .. then she nurses and cudles in until i get up in the morning(or afternoon a couple lucky days :D )
