I had great OB and MW appointments today! At the OB, I had an ultrasound and actually measured ahead by a week and a half, putting me at 12 weeks rather than my calculated 10.5. The babe is 5.27 cm long (a little over 2 inches). At the MW, we're pretty sure we heard the HB for just a couple of beats before the babe got tricky to find again.
I really liked the OB. This is one of three suggested by my MW. I meet with the other two next week and then will make a decision from there. What I liked most about this one was when I asked about his policies on XYZ, he replied, "I don't really have policies. I go based on the evidence at hand." This is my kind of doctor. (I have a real, real problem with the attitude, "Well, that's just the way we do things. It's our policy.") He was also very supportive of the MW plus OB model of care and very pro NCB.
My MW also noticed that I have popped out a little. *I* hadn't even noticed yet but I looked in the mirror when I got home and she's right!
