We named our dd Adrianna, mostly because of the song "pretty little Adrianna" and LOVE that we have always danced to the song with her and sing it to her in the car. I am having a really hard time coming up with song names to good songs. Especially for boys--although we may already have our boy name picked out. can you help?

Oh that's good! I don't have any that come off the top of my head except for "Jeremiah was a bullfrong" LOL
But you can go to allmusic.com type in a name and search under song and find a song for almost any name. I even found one for Lucian...

The only one that comes to mind is "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac. One of my all time favorite songs and girl's names. My best friend from high school named her dd Rhiannon, so we didn't want to use it, but I think it is a very pretty name. Can't think of any boy's names though...

I can't think of any others. But THANK YOU for the chance to exercise my brain!

My dh and I both had a Christian music record when we were kids called "Nathaniel the Grublet". So our ds is Nathaniel. We are really cheesy.

When you say song names, are you talking about names that appear within songs or names that are in the titles? :innocent

We named our DD Vallerie, not only because we like the Steve Winwood song, but it's definatley become part of "her life story". Now I'm pregnant again, I'm thinking "Rosanna" for a girl.

elionway,
names in the song...
We also found Rebecca Lynn and Vincent(probably not a good idea to name a child after someone who committed suicide.

Jenny (a very popular name 20-odd years ago, but I haven't met a single Jennifer under the age of 18 in ages... your daughter would be the only one in her class! :lol)
I could probably go on like this for hours, especially if you want to include Hebrew songs & names or seriously pop-music references. :lol

The only boy song name I can think of right now is Jim as in Jim Croce's "Don't Mess Around with Jim", but I have always loved the name and the beautiful song "Aubrey" by Bread... "and Aubrey was her name/a not-so-very-ordinary girl or name/but who's to blame..." Now I have to go listen to that CD!
