I know he is Thomas die Kleine Locomotiv and I found video's in Woolworth's here in town but where can I find wooden trains for him etc??? I knew I should have bought the Christmas stuff before we moved but my husband insisted that we just do it all here. Low and behold, I just realized christmas is next week. No shops here in Bad Godesburg have him. Does KaufHof or Karstadt? I can go to Bonn to shop I just want to know where to go in case I have to take the straßenbahn with ds. Thanks in advance! Vic:-)

Have you tried looking at their website (www.galeria-kaufhof.de www.karstadt.de) or even just calling them on the telephone?
If they have it, they might be sold out before Christmas though, but perhaps they can order?

Another option I've found to be quite good and fast is www.mytoys.de
They deliver all over Europe (at a nice price too), and have a select selection of wooden toys. Unfortunately, too much plastic for my taste, but the wooden toys they do have are quite good.

Do you have Müller where you are? If you live close to a big one, they'll have a good selection of toys and tend to be good about ordering things.

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!

Kaufhof and Karstadt do have Thomas, and other Brio trains ands toys. Just saw some the other day. I've seen Thomas in most tyo stores.
Woolworth and other discount stores usually have "generic" wooden train sets.

Thanks so much!! I was beginning to feel like bad mommy. It was interesting. I was in a great toy store that was all wood, puppets, scarves and all around MCD friendly stuff. It seems thats basically all I've seen too. I guess because the vendors are out at the christmas markets and we are in a smaller, mercedes ridden town. But, the owner said that even here the wooden toy market is dwindling. There are several good pieces in a local 2nd hand shop I'm going to grab up. I think by the time our stuff get's here ds is going to have outgrown about 1/3 of it. We still have sooooo much. But, at least I'll be able to get the toys I'd originally planned for this chirstmas. It was sooooo funny, I put in a german video the other day and ds just didnt seem to understand that is was still Thomas. It was like I was teasing himor something. Now I just hope they have Annie, Clarabelle, James and Percy. Thanks again for the info and Merry Christmas!
