A few notes for all of you still waiting...
If you have to have an epidural, don't fret. I eventually did, and it was the best choice. I feel zero guilt about it, and the baby came out fully alert!
Have some one-handed ready-to-eat snacks ready at home, like PowerBars, trail mix, etc. You will be absolutely starving! Have about 20 of them at least.
Have a water bottle ready with a straw that bends, so you can drink from it in any position, including lying down. You will be ravenously thirsty including when you can't move a muscle because the baby has finally latched on to your nipple.
