Yesterday I had my first OB appt. It was interesting. The appt. was at the hospital about 45 miles from home. Usually it is at the clinic, but my OB just happens to be on call this weekend. My appt. was at 9:00 and because she was attending to five other women who were in the process of delivering.....I wasn't able to see her until 10:15. How uncomfortable to be laying on a table nearly naked for that amount of time. I thought I was going to fall asleep! :zzz Once she did arrive, she did the exam and then attempted to find the heart beat to no avail. She also tried with the portable ultrasound.....to no avail. For someone who has had two miscarriages, the last thing I am able to rationally deal with is....no heartbeat. I was then sent down to Ultrasound and finally discovered all is well. Now that I am almost 12 weeks I am able to actually see his/her little arms and legs. That baby was flopping all over the place! I was frustrated that I was never given the opportunity to ask any questions of my doctor, but am just glad that everything is going great. I really feel like I can relax SOME now!! :bouncy
