While you go potty - use a spray bottle of warm water and spray your private area, keeps the burning down.

My mw set me up w/ a peri bottle and some sort of iodine solution -- bovidine?? -- to help w/ the burning and provide antiseptic for my little tears. I used very warm water mixed with a bit of the iodine stuff and it helped TONS.

Peri bottle is my friend. Heck, even when I'm not pregnant I use the thing just because it makes me feel clenaer :) Ah yes, blood and burning pee, the things I have to look foward to!

For almost the first week, even water made my perineum burn...any time it was wet it felt like it was on fire. I DREADED going to the bathroom. I would actually go as quickly as possible, change the pad then lay on my bed with a pillow pressed between my legs until the burning stopped.
After the first week or so it started to help using the peri bottle. Now that I've hit 2wks, the burning is totally gone and I'm actually almost done bleeding...I think. I still flinch a bit when coughing since it makes me clench all those pelvic muscles that I used to push Ben out!
Hang in there... I just keep comparing this recovery to the recovery I had w/ Beth's birth. Tore up, down and inside up both sides...stitched for over 45minutes and had pelvic floor damage. I didn't move at all for over two weeks...this time was a BREEZE in comparison.
With Ben I was at the supermarket then driving Beth to swimming lessons at 5days post partum! That would have never happened 4.5yrs ago!

I remember sitting on the toilet crying while going to the bathroom. I hated to drink water because then I would have to pee more, but not drinking water made it burn more when I did go. The peri bottle only helped a little. Eventually I drank more water because the less concentration your urine has the easier it is to go without pain.
As far as the Bleeding I took Vervain which helped out a ton. Good luck!

I was fine peeing, up until this morning, it started burning (peri bottle and all)...4 days PP. Seems strange to me that it's just starting to hurt.
