Victoria likes to groan and grunt (a lot) when she sleeps... It kind of sounds like she is constipated, but never poops while doing this.... Does anyone else's baby do this?

-I know all these questions I should be asking my pediatrician, but we don't go see them until the beginning of January because we had to switch....

Unless Victoria seems like she's uncomfortable, I wouldn't worry about it. DS is a loud sleeper as well: he's currently squirming and grunting in his sleep while on my lap :lol. He's a little quieter if he's warmer and/or swaddled, but he doesn't get totally still and quiet until his REM sleep starts. You might want to check out some books that discuss infant sleep. Dr Sears talks about the sleep stages, as does the No-Cry Sleep Solution.

Honestly, I wouldn't even bring this kind of thing up with a ped unless I thought my child were in some distress. They don't really seem to have a good sense of parenting vs medical advice, so I don't bring up issues unless I think there is a medical concern. YMMV.

newborns make so many funny noises. grunting and groaning and wheezing and snorting and all kinds of indescribable things nobody ever tells you about. it's so sweet, love the noises while they last. :love

Geofizz is right. Try to toe the line between parenting advice and medical advice with your ped. They don't understand the difference and will give (IMO) crappy parenting advice guised as medical advice. And vice-versa.
