I had a midwife appointment today and she mentioned that I only had nine weeks left. I'm like "What???????" I haven't really been keeping track this time around. Vast difference from my first pregnancy where I was counting down to the day.
But wow. 9 weeks left. That's going to happen really soon.
We will all be holding babies in our arms very soon. Just wow.

Yeah, time is really running out for us! I've been watching the Dec and Jan EC ladies having their babies and getting very excited! Today I'm 34 weeks so 6 more for me to go - woohoo!

I know...where did the time go! I'm just over 32 weeks and dd was born in the 38th week so I'm wondering how much longer I really have! I finally started pulling everything together this past weekend and the reality has definitely set in!

I was just thinking/realizing the last few days how soon the babe could be here (outside my body that is :lol ). I've also been seeing the DDClubs before us delivering. Not too much longer for us! I'm 33 weeks and I really am working on my to do list and getting some things accomplished-finally. I'm glad I still have some more time to get some things done.

Yeah, it's probably only about 5 weeks for me (I'm 33 1/2 right now and my first two were born at 39 and just under 38 weeks)!! Hard to believe...even though I've done it twice before it still just feels so surreal!

Yeah, crazy, huh? When I hit 33 weeks I realized 6 weeks was a very real possibility (DD was born at 39 wks). It shocked me and then spurred me to get on the ball about a lot of stuff. Well, so far I've generated a huge list of to-do's and put it on the fridge, but I've done large pieces of several of the things on the list and am feeling very motivated to keep moving!
Mostly up to now my main thing I've completed is ordering a lot of "stuff" I want online. :o Much more fun that cleaning neglected corners of the house!

I need to finish getting everything ready!! :wink

So what do we need to be getting ready now? Should I pull the newborn clothes out of the attic? Get the infant car seat out? The bassinet? The bouncy chair? And where is all this stuff supposed to go? There's nowhere for her little diapers and clothes. And I'm not about to go out and get a new dresser. Hmmm.....
And what about birth supplies? I'm supposed to order a birth kit soon from the midwife. I should probably get on top of that. And get some old towels and sheets for the birth just in case. What about planning birth announcements? We would soooo love to be able to announce the birth of our first home-birthed babe. And who will help with the other two kids during labor and birth? I have to find someone I'm comfortable with. What about mama pads? I'd like to give cloth a try this time.
OH my gosh! I thought of yet another thing. Making extra food for the freezer! I better get on top of that. And not just for after the birth, but for when I'm too huge to want to cook.
My mind is absolutely racing right now..... :nut

I wish I had such a great attitude. I have 6 weeks left and it seems like a long time to me. I actually feel like I can easily handly 4 more weeks. I think that would be perfect. It gets me through the holidays and then a few weeks for preparing since we have done NOTHING prepared yet. But for whatever reason 6 weeks or more if I go late seems like an eternity. It may be that pitty look everyone gives me when I tell them how long I have left. The OMG you still have 6 weeks left and your belly is that big already look. Actually I usually lie and say I'm due the end of Jan instead of Feb 2 and I still get that look. I think I would get that look if I said I had 2 weeks left, I have a HUGE belly. Dh came home yesterday and told me he met a woman at work who is due Feb 3 and said she was half my size, he thought she was due in April or May based on comparison with me. Thanks, I needed to hear that. I know we are close I just want it to go by relatively quickly. I had dd at 37 weeks and ds at 39 weeks. I think it would be perfect if this one came at 38 weeks, too bad we can't plan these things. You guys are inspiring me to be more positive and realize this really is almost over :).

Yes, it's almost over...and someday, when the ligament pains and inability to roll over in bed and indigestion and constipation are long forgotten, we'll probably look back on this time and remember how wonderful and amazing it was. :love
I'm huge, too. Yesterday I went to a potluck with two other pregnant women (both with second child like me). One is due 2 weeks before me, the other 4 days. I look bigger than both. But, I'm also shorter than they are, and carrying straight out in front. The tallest of us, I swear she looks like I did at about 5-6 months. I accidently blurted out, "Wow, I think I'm twice as big as you are." I hope I didn't make her feel bad, 'cause I know people also hate to be told how "small" they look. Whoops.

I have just over 8 weeks left and it seems so far away to be honest. I have to do Christmas and then staying at the inlaws for 5 days until January 2 and then Elijah's birthday is on the 18th and his party is on the 21. The baby coming feels like some distant event far off in the future. Of course it doesn't help that I have SPD (symphasis pubis dysfunction) so I am in agony all the time and also very anemic (I've managed to get iron levels to move a whole 3 points in 7 weeks of supplementation) and 8 more weeks of this sounds like pure hell! I am also still really conflicted about the whole VBA2C thing. I am planning for it (assuming baby turns head down) but there is still a piece of me that thinks I should just schedule a c-section and get it over with. Who knows?! Either way 8 weeks sounds like ages to me (I am almost done organizing everything so there is really nothing left to do).

I carry way out in front as well. I have a really short torso and there isn't any other place for baby to go. From the back I don't look pg at all. I keep getting the baby is going to be HUGE comments, which fine if he is. But I really don't think so. I'm measuring right on and this is how I carried my other two and they were very average sized. At Thanksgiving my in-laws kept going on and on about how big the baby was going to be and in just trying to explain that it may or may not be the case since I have carried the other two this way, I received the "oh careful of the sensitive pg woman" comment! If it wasn't for other peoples reactions to my stomach I would love this but unfortunately I let others comments bother me. I'm happy as can be in the comfort of my own home, going out is another story. Oh yea, and I would like to be able to roll over in bed without grunting. And I could do without the heart burn. And I just hope my pants continue to stay up for the next 6 weeks.
To try to get back to a positive note, I look at things in 2 week increments. In two weeks we'll just be finishing up the holidays, time will fly until then. The next two weeks I plan on relaxing from the holidays and organizing and cleaning, preparing for baby. That puts me at 38 weeks. I can handle two weeks of just waiting and more organizing. Hopefully I won't be too late. I would be shocked to go longer than that since my other two were early and with all of the contractions I have already they have to be doing something, right? :). I work 3 days a week which are my toughest days because of the pity looks :) and I will not be working past my due date so even if I go late I will just be hypernating at home until he makes his arrival, comfortable in my big ole sweats and t-shirts.

Well ds was born at 38.5 weeks so I could have just 6 weeks left too. But I really need this baby to stay in until 39 weeks, at least the 2nd week of Feb. because I have my dissertation defense scheduled for the first week of february and if I have to cancel/postpone it I have no idea when I'll be able to do it! My MW says that almost all of her clients go to at least their due date, if not a week or more overdue, so I'm kind of counting on that which means I have 8 weeks left. Still, so much left to sew!!! I'm waiting until I turn my thesis in to get down to the sewing though ;)

I'm 34 weeks - so 6 weeks if I go to term. It seems too soon to me. I need more time!! I don't like all the heartburn, reflux and ligament pain, but right now I'm SOOOO not ready for this baby - physically, but mostly emotionally. Since having three miscarraiges after the birth of my third, I'm still having a hard time believing that this one is actually going to make it. Weird heh? It's what I'm working through right now.

I'm 33 weeks and saying 6 more weeks. Just because it sounds so much closer than 7 . LOL
But then again, my last 3 babies came at 38 weeks, so I freaked my hubby out saying I could have the baby in 5 weeks. And then in all reality, 37 weeks is term, you never know I could have it then, and that is only 4 weeks away. LOL
Can ya tell I am getting a bit psycho?????
I think in 2 week increments too. I have my dr appt tomorrow, the next one in 2 weeks my older son goes back to Tx after his trip here. Thne after he's gone I plan to get the house cleaned and organized and start playing with the baby stuff. :) I mean sorting and organizing it.
And I plan to sew a ton of diapers up so I have plenty instock when I am on maternity break. :) I want to have alot done by 37 weeks, so maybe I need to get off my butt and go do that...
So really, I have plenty to do. It seems so close, yet so far away...

Aaaaahhhh! Actually it's not the nursing thing that worries me, as my committee are all women and moms, so I could just have the baby on the boppy the whole time, not a problem. But I would still have to answer questions...and I don't think I could even form complete sentences! My brain will be a pile of sleep-deprived, post-partum hormonal goo :lol
I am very impressed that your friend did that!!

Angie--I think I'm just going to close for an extended period. I just have too much of my own sewing to do that I've been putting off--I have hammock sheets, a quilt, baby clothes, a carseat cover, new diaper bag, nursing bras, sheesh there must be more...planned and cut out (some of it). I doubt I'll even make it to the LLL conference this year since I won't have any instock. My family doesn't depend on my income (at all! I hardly make anything) so I don't think it will be a big deal.
