There most certainly are! A fairly decent amount, higher in the North Island, and fairly high among Maori and Pacific Island groups. Enough that there was a Mormon Church in my small hometown of 7000.

Hi gbryndi, I grew up in Idaho & have spent the last 6 years living in Australia (before moving to PA where I am now). Just wanted to add my 2 cents... while there are Mormons in Australia (& NZ) it is nothing like Utah!

Good luck!

i served a mission in nz. the church is very stong in nz. there is a temple in hamilton. there are tons of islanders there and the church is very strong in the islands. the members there are strong and full of faith. there are lots and lots of converts there. this means the leadership is inexperinced but full of faith. i served in whangara, 3 areas of auckland, and hamilton. nz is very beautiful. you will absolutly love it. you can e-mail me with questions at alyciafox1769@aol.com. this is her husband. jordan

The LDS church is huge in New Zealnd.
The first Temple outside the US was built in NZ.
They also have church colleges.
Australia is so small in comparison!
I live in Aus, my hubby is Maori....I would love to go to NZ...
