Yes, truly important.....
We september moms will only have to buy maternity clothes for 1 season, more or less. Think about it. I find that truly practical.
End of important message :flipped

But the maternity sweaters are SO CUTE!
I was trying to convince myself that I needed a maternity sweater, but then the rational part of me remembered that it was really over 100 lots of times in September and I wouldn't want to be wearing one then! Maybe next time...

Unless you live in Minnesota where it's cold until June! :lol

Hey,wait a minute - YOU (OP) are in MN! Do you think we'll be able to get away with t-shirts by the time we're showing? I have a small frame, so my stomach pops pretty early. Plus, we camp up north a lot during the summer so I'll need jeans and sweatshirts anyway, ;)

I was pg this same time 2 yrs ago w/ dd, and I only bought maternity clothes once. We lived in OH at the time, and it was pretty chilly early on, but by the time I started showing I was so hot all the time I didn't layer very much. I'm actually really looking forward to getting out my pg clothes. I had some really cute stuff. I think that was actually the last new clothes I bought. How sad...
No, I take that back. I did have to get a new pair of jeans not to long ago, but only because I wore the inseam out of the old pair. Dh complains constantly about my daily uniform of jeans and plain white t-shirt. I'm sure he'll be happy once the pg clothes are out as well.

Yeah, but unfortunately for me, it's the opposite season from the one in which I bought all my previous maternity clothes! :lol Guess I'll have to hit up my friends who had autumn babies last year for loans...

Oh you're so lucky! It will be cold-ish over here until about April, then could be hot over the summer but you never can tell......
I had winter maternity stuff before but I gave that away and don't know where it is now. I have a friend who had a babe in September 2 years ago and gave me all her clothes, but then another friend conceived out of the blue so I gave it all to her. She had her babe at the end of Dec so I don't think I can go hassle her for the clothes right now even though I can't fit in any of my trousers already!

I wish-I starting wearing maternity with #2 at 12 weeks and I've already had to get new jeans (not maternity though) this time around. And new bras-my boob are HUGE! :lol

Unless you are like me and have the incredibly fast growing belly and already need maternity pants at 5w5d preggo LOL. At least I will get to wear my old maternity clothes one more time. I am looking forward to dressing this summer. I'm hoping to find some funky skirts and tank-tops and that's it!

Thank goodness its not just me! I fell like my belly has just gone blaaaaah and fallen out of where it is usually kept :lol I couldn't hold it in even if I wanted to. I though it was just because this is my fourth and everything knows how to loosen!
I'm almost 8 weeks now and I can feel a baby bubble down there which is why everything is starting to hang out I think.

I can't hold it in either. Yesterday I tried sucking my stomach in and you couldn't even tell the difference LOL. I figure it's because it's my fourth pregnancy (two of which were twins) and it's been less than a year since my last one! Oh well, I love the belly part of pregnancy anyway. I just hope that no one asks me how far along I am. No one will believe I'm only going to be 6 weeks on Monday!

I know! I took a bath last night, leaned down to grab something from the end of the tub, caught a glimpse of my stomache, and thought, oh my gosh, this is how I looked at 6 months w/ dd! I know the water makes everything float, and look bigger, and all the fat bunches up in one place and everything, but boy that was depressing. Where's the pg glow and all that good stuff?

Y'all who live up north sound like you have it "good"!! LOL! Last year during Sept we set record highs in the 100s... I am NOT looking forward to being PG during a South Texas summer.

OH MY! I've never known any one to actually like maternity clothes. :lol
I am 6'2" and they don't make comfy maternity clothes for folks my size. I've always joked that I need to shop in the same sections as the drag queens. And I don't think the drag queens have much need for maternity! :blush
I've just been leaving the top snap undone on my jeans. I'm saying it is baby, but I think it is just holiday excess. :o

luckily for me, there is a super cool thrift store near by adn on monday i went shopping and spent around $40 and came home with 2.5 kitchen size "trash" bags of used maternity clothes...
super nice stuff....pea in pod, mimi, etc.
i got several pairs of shorts and several pants.
and several long sleeve light weight shirts
and a bunch of sleeveless tops
since i am in GA, it is mostly warm here all winter and spring (summer is total HELL!!)
but i am planning on wearing the sleeveless tops with my cardigans (unbuttoned) with the pants untill it gets warm enough for tank top weather
and THEN switching over to the shorts.
(and spending most of my time in the pool beyond that!
i had to buy my clothes now b/c i can not button my size 6 pants any more...and i figure....if i am going to buy more clothes, it has to be maternity!

I've been switching to my roomier pants, but especially at night, everything around my waist feels uncomfortable. I had a cute little pot belly *anyway*, so I can't say for sure this is pregnancy related! But I'm starting to wonder how long the work clothes will fit... I leave this workplace at the end of April... think I can make it? And I'm going to a wedding on April 1... already had a dress in mind, but have no idea if it will actually fit then... and if not, how does one look gorgeous at a wedding with a little poochy belly (a big belly, ok, I could try to go like the movie stars and wear some belly-hugging glam gown... but I think at 4 months I'll just look sort of thick...) hmmmmm.
One thing my mom always told me -- she had her babies in April and in July -- was DON'T be in your third trimester over the summer. Now I've moved to a part of the country where it's just as hot, 10 times more humid, and voila -- due at the very end of summer! Timing, timing...
