I am having terrible very low backache. I usually get this before my period so I for sure thought it was comign until I found out I was pregnant :) is anyone else having bad back pain this early?? This is my third and I really dont remember if I had it with either of my other two.

No, but then I've never really gotten backaches with my period either.
I DO get cramps though, and I've had those every pregnancy for about a week (give or take a few days) around the time my period would've been due.

I have lower back pain. I'm 7 weeks now and it's not as bad as it was in the earlier stages, but I thought for SURE I was getting my period. It makes me nervous, but I'm just trying to remember that every pregnancy is different. Hang in there!

Oh, what I've found that is helpful is I have this sort of a stuffed animal thing. It's a bunny that's stuffed with buckwheat, lavender, herbs etc. You heat it up in the microwave for 90 seconds and you have moist heat for over 2 hours. I got it at a place called Grandpa's Garden, but I think they sell through other places as well.

I am a doula and I actually make something kinda like that for my clients but its a rice sock. I just use a tube sck, fill it with rice and an essential oil and then tie it off on top, heat and then its good to go. I shoudl try that, didnt think aboout it :) As far as your earlier stages with the bad backache, was in aroudn 4-5 weeks gestational ???

Yep, that's exactly when it started. Now I'm noticing that it acts up if I sit for long periods of time in a not so comfy chair, or after a rousing game of piggy back with my 3 year old.

I like your rice sock recipe...I might try it out! Good luck, hope your back feels better soon.

I dunno if I'd call what I have back pain, it all seems to be skeletal, mainly in my left side of my very low back (right above my booty)and my hips, oh, and my tailbone is constantly feeling like it needs to pop (like the way you need to pop your back sometimes, ya know?) But, yea it hurts. A lot. and it's annoying. :irked:

Yes back ache AND the cramps. Wheee, I was actually worried about the backache but my chiropractor said my hips were off and fixed me up.
