i exposed my three older kids to chicken pox and although they are starting to get spots today, opal has the most and started showing the spots two days ago.. she seems unaffected and is acting totally normal though so maybe we will get all thier immunity at once! so much for nursing kids not getting it!

Hope she stays unaffected by it. Let us know how she's doing?

You might want to check out the vax forum because I think I remember reading that if a baby gets the pox before a certain age (maybe before 1 year?) there is a good chance they won't have life long immunity. So I would look into that before you get your hope sup. :(
Good to hear that it isn't bothering her though!

Wow, you sound so calm about it! Best wishes on a healthy outcome for all!

This is true. Glad it's not bothering her much though. Yay for mama's milk!

thanks for the response... i lost my internet connection at home for the time being so i can only check this forom randomly from friends houses etc :irked:
opal is doing great. i had heard that she might or might not get immunity at this age so i figure i will just expose her again at some point in the future....
but maybe we will get lucky.
she is acting completly normal but really has quite a good case of the pox. mostly they are on her head and face, but as of today they have reached her feet so hopefully they will stop appearing soon. the other 3 kids are pretty covered now to and we have had plenty of visitors to keep us sane as a bunch of friends want to catch them.
thanks again. :)
