Just wondering...yes, I know that the specific "date" doesen't matter but that said. My cycles were average 23 days long ovulation on the 11th day. (I was charting) That would put my due date 5 days before what a standard 28 day cycle pg wheel would say.

I'm just wondering if I it would be ok to "fib" about my LMP? Is that something that I should be worried about?

I'd 'fib' but in most cases I think that women say that their LMP was later so that they don't have to be induced if they go past the magic 40 week mark. I normally don't lie, but in this case when I know that they're 'just trying to do the right thing' and I have a difference in openion with theirs, I'd just do it to make my life eaiser and not cause undue stress.

I adjusted mine from ovulation! Because you could go in there say this is the day I O'ed on and this was my LMP and hands down they will go with your LMP, so just adjust your LMP for your O!

Good luck!

What's an LMP?

Also, the date of my last period was Nov. 28th, but I didn't ovulate until Dec. 22nd!! So when I tell people that they say I'm still at 7 weeks or so, but I'm not really...

What do I do in my case? When should I go in for my first check-up?

My LMP was Nov. 26th, but I didn't O until Dec. 13th, so I just counted back two weeks from Dec. 13th as the "official" LMP. Luckily the mw's around here are pretty cool, so I just told them that's what I was doing and they were fine with it.

If I was going to an OB I'd do that (adjust it myself)... but I'm UPing so no worries. However when I talk to my midwife friend I tell her how many weeks along I am based on my real dates (I adjusted it with the LMP to fit when I ovulated like you said).

My last LMP was Nov 18 and I think we conceived on Dec 19! Yes, my cycles are VERY screwy due to bfing my 25 month old. I told my midwife my LMP, but explained that I think I o'd on the 19th or 20th and didn't get a bfp until New Year's Day, so I couldn't have conceived earlier. She had no problem with that and adjusted my edd according to what I told her. Of course, I o'd on day 35 of my cycle when we conceived dd2, so my mw knows my crazy cycle history. ;)

I have no problems with this. But just want to point out that if your baby comes early, there are also cutoffs about what is considered preterm (usually before 37 weeks for a singleton I think) and sometimes a midwife will require a hospital transfer for preterm labor. So overestimating a due date could cause a problem that way.
