Since this is my first, I'm not sure how much movement is "normal"--but, wow, is this little girl active! I started feeling her at 16 or 17 weeks, but since about 20 she has been seriously active all day long. Dh was able to feel her kicking at around 20 weeks and you could see my stomach twitch from the outside around then, too, when she gave a particularly good one.
Just curious what other people's experiences have been like. I have no idea if this bean is unusually active, or if this is pretty standard. I'm a little worried...if she kicks this hard and she only weighs a pound or so, she's going to really be pummeling me when she's 6 or 7! :lol

Me! Me! Me! Alden and Zachary were both active babies but I don't rememebr then being *this* active- they were more of stretching out babies. Eleanor rolls and bounces around all the time- but I love it!

yep, mine is dancing a jig too!! This is normal. I can't remember when i is *suppose* to start, but I know you feel them earlier and earlier with each pregnancy (mostly because you know what to look for). My other kids just love feeling my belly to feel him kick! However he was up ALL last night (thus so was I) doing his jig, hehe.
enjoy it!! It is truely an amazing thing!

My fourth and last was active like that. I don't think he slept but maybe an hour or two a day because the rest of the time he was kicking and punching, showing the outline of hands and feet having a grand ole time. I really miss that feeling!!!! Unfortunatley with 4 mine and three someday to be step-children, we have no room for anymore. Don't get worried, my doc said that being active was a good sign and I felt my little one around 14 weeks and it was pretty steady all along. :bouncy Good Luck!!!!

I have another really active baby, too :D It's very sweet (until he hits my cervix, that is!)!
I can't differentiate between movements yet (kicking as opposed to punching as opposed to rolling around) nor can my DH feel the baby -- he maybe felt the baby one day, but we're not entirely sure if it was the baby or gas. I also can't see any movement yet, tho...
But I think that's because I have REALLY abnormally thick/ strong abdominals, and not b/c he's not kicking hard enough. Cause WHOOSH, this guy moves!

Yeah a big kicker here too. :love It's hilarious. I think I'm beginning to be able to tell the head from feet and such. A little bit ago I was getting bumps down in my right hip and there was a bulge in the top right side of my uterus... when I pushed on the bulge there was suddenly a lot of pressure on my bladder and I almost peed my pants! :lol Lots of bladder pressure and kicks to my cervix/bladder.
Baby was quiet for a couple of days this week but is back to his/her active self again today. My belly is doing a jig sometimes now. :wink
And constant heartburn already... I've really popped out- the joys of being petite!

This little one is VERY active. Day and night moving all over the place. You can definitly see my tummy move up and down when she does which is soo neat for my 4 year old. She hasn't decided on being up or down yet because I feel movment all over.

Mine is kicking and punching the crap out of me too. With ds, the first movements I felt were little flutters. With this one, I started out feeling hard kicks and jabs! I can't imagine how it's gonna be when she's bigger! And these are just the movements I feel, when we went for our ultrasound she was kicking and punching and moving all around and I didn't feel a thing. Definitely an active babe! I'm kinda scared! DS was pretty laid back as a baby and was no where near as active in the womb as this baby. He even slept through most of the ultrasound.

Sometimes the babe here is kicking/punching etc. all over the place, sometimes he or she is just totally mellowed out. The ones that get me are the ones that catch me off guard and have me with my eyes buggin' out like "Ow! Bring it down a level baby, bring it down!" :lol

I keep feeling like I've got a jumping bean in my tummy! I also can't even imagine how its going to be when babe is bigger! I like knowing babys okay, but sometimes I find it hurts a little!

NYCVeg, I could've written the same post! This boy has been soo active, kicking & punching & rolling. I just love it (right now LOL). I supposedly have an anterior placenta & shouldn't even have been feeling as much for as long! :love

Baby is reeeally kicking me tonight. Been doing so all day. Its funny, sometimes I swear this kid is dancing on my intestines and it kinda hurts! Anyone else find it a little painful sometimes?

Mine's been pretty mellow mostly so far, but he was using my cervix as a punching bag last night! I was jumping around in bed and DH was laughing at me!
