Went to the library today, and the FIRST book I picked up!!!

Was called A Ride on Mother's Back by Emery and Durga Bernhard.

Obviously I grabbed it, and read it to Owen...

What a FANTASTIC book!!!

I found it in the Children's section of the Library. I was SO excited, as I hadn't been to the Library in FOREVER, and when I got there, the first book I picked up was something so positive and diverse!

So, CHECK IT OUT!

It's about how different cultures were their babies in slings or cloth while the parents/grandparents/siblings/friends do work!!

Thanks! I will look for the book next time we go...we have found ourselves spending many hours at the library since we moved. It is such a great place for the little ones and there are so many wonderful books there, the kids section is amazing. We go just about every friday to story telling (or "book reading", I don't know the proper term for it). My older dd loves the fact that she can bring home so many books, she even has her own library card now that she can write her own name!
