Samara has acne on her face and neck. It's pretty bad....at least it seems so to me because my first 2 never had acne. She also has REALLY dry skin, especially on her forehead, near her eyebrows, and on her ears.

Anyone else? Any advice on how to care for it?

There's a thread about this now on Life With a Babe.

I responded there with what my pediatrician told me on Monday. He said that if the acne is on the face, neck, and shoulders, it's actually prickly heat caused by getting his skin too warm. My little guy gets it from resting on an afghan while nursing. I'm starting to make sure I use a cotton blanket on top of the afghan (I HATE the boppy!). That seems to help, but he still gets it a bit just from resting on anything. The doctor said it often occurs in the car seat, particularly in the winter when people bundle up their babies too much (it's hard in cold weather to judge what to do). He said it didn't bother him and not to worry about it.

He's also got very dry skin which we were also told not to worry about. :)

same with Ethan. i was really careful w/ the first two that they didnt lay on anything that wasnt washed with "their" detergent, but i thought since Ethan was ok with Tide on his dipes, he shoudl be ok w/ it on our clothes. but, i dont use much detergent on his dipes, so my logic may be flawed.
i may try to find the thread on LWAB.

My midwife suggested rubbing oil into the baby's scalp for dry skin/dandruff. I put some of my vitamin E pregnant belly oil on his head. I hope it works.
