My mother is planning a family vacation in March to Disney World in Florida. I live in CT. Of course I want to go but we would be flying and staying for 10 days. Which means that when we left I would be just about 32 weeks and when we came back I would in the beginning of my 33rd week.
Im going to the doctors tomarrow and Im going to ask them about it but Im wondering if anyone else traveled at all this far along. And if your docs/ Midwives would even let you. I sure would hate to miss Disney world but the baby does come first.
Anyone? :bouncy

The problem is not about flying being dangerous, just that they don't want you to go into labor while traveling. I was told I would be 'allowed' to travel up to 36 weeks. I was using a rather traditional OB/GYN clinic.
I think it's prudent for you to make sure you have no risk factors for early labor and that you really understand how to evaluate the symptoms of labor and how to slow things down if it begins. It would also be prudent to do a bit of research on Orlando hospitals to see where you would want to deliver should it be necessary.
I doubt it's a problem, though.

Lindsay -
I had to make almost the exact same decision as you, except I was a couple weeks closer to being due. I was too far along to fly, though, so that was out. Driving was considered, but it would have been a LOOOOONG drive for us, and while I wasn't terribly uncomfortable during pregnangy, I decided that being in the car that long would be torture. I would think that flying would be somewhat umcomfortable, but of course you can walk around occasionally.
We also decided that I would probably not enjoy walking around at Disneyland and wherever else all day, so we opted against it. I think my mw would have let me, but we decided it just wouldn't be much fun... but I don't think it would be dangerous.

I was in South America on a 3 week trip when the pregnancy test (finally!!) came back positive. Other than feeling a little sick on the plane ride back home that trip was fine. When I was 20 weeks pregnant I drove on a 20 hour ride for work - at 32 weeks drove 17 hours to visit family. I would talk with your provider, but would think if you have not been having any problems you would probably be fine. Good luck!
