I agree that a buddhist smilie would be nice, but what about all the other religions? That would be a lot of smilies

Not opposed to that at all. I just see the Hijab smilies, and to me that indicates a certain religious preference. Just requesting one for my preference. :) :love

Like I said, nothing specific. Maybe just a meditation smilie, or an Om smilie. While that sometimes indicates a Buddhist preference, momma's who simply enjoy meditation can also get in on it. :) :thumb

If you have one to place you can send it to me cynthiam@mothering.com If you took it from another site you must get permission for us to use it and send that too. If you design it you'll need to e-sign a release form for us to place it.

In general we don't create smilies but members can present a smilie for us to place. If we approve it and have the permission or release then it will be placed. :)

I agree that the Buddhist smiley would lead to the need for all kinds of denominational smilies - a Catholic smiley with a rosary, perhaps? An Episcopalian smiley with a glass of wine? kidding!

And - just curious - what would the gluton free one be for? I mean, I know who would use that, but why? To indicate what?

I'm not a big smiley person, so forgive my ignorance.

My oldest daughter and I both have celiac disease. There's a no vax smiley, so I would like a gluten free one.

And like Cynthia said, anyone can make a smiley denoting whatever they wish. If it's accepted, it's accepted. I'm still going for a Buddhist one. :) But I do LOVE that Om one. Scapegoat, send it to Cynthia?
