I went to the Dr today and my BP ws high, so I guess my decision was made for me about the homebirth:( I am waiting on a call from the Dr to indicate whether we will be inducing immediatly tonight or whether we will be waiting until she can do it on Thursday, which would be ideal.....don't know the Dr who is on tonight. Atleast I know that while I HATE being induced this early that my Dr would not do it unless she saw a real good reason, she is VERY adament on NOT inducing before 38 or 39 weeks without a GOOD medical reason. So while I am sad about loosing my homebirth, I am excited to finally meet this little one.

Alicia, I'm sorry that your bp has spiked and that you're looking at induction. Healthy baby, healthy mommy are the goals right? I hope it all goes very very well and gently for you and baby.

I was induced at week 36 for the exact same reason. I never had a chance for a homebirth even with the first because of blood pressure.
Just wanted to reassure you that I had no problems and me and my baby went home the next day. Like it or not, as you probably know, your bp could seriously harm both you and the baby. I am just hoping to make it to week 36 again with my new pregnancy. Best wishes and know it's the end result that truly matters most.

So....I officially go in tomorrow at 6am. THere ended up being no imminent need to rush into an induction yesterday so I atleast got to get things organized and stuff. I am nervous, but everyone keeps asking me if I am excited.....well....snce I have been having contractions for days and I am going in to increase their intensity....no...not really excited about that. Am looking forward to meeting baby though:) We should be home Fri or Sat so I will give details then.
