Hi. I'm Yolanda, SAHM to Hunter 8, and Devin 6 months. It seems the rules about posting here are pretty strict, so I'll try not to wander in any posts!
I've been a SAHM since the fall of 2001, when we moved to OH from NW MI. For two years before that I worked part time, evenings and weekends to keep my DS1 out of day care. He has autism and at the time would not have functioned very well in that setting. Before that we lived in UT, where DS1 was born and hubby in the military, and I worked in a bank.
I live in Amish country in NE OH. We live on 2.5 acres on a dirt road 15 miles outside of town, so I don't get out much! Do you ladies do any pen pal kind of stuff outside the message board? Like exchanges or anything like that?
We bought this house in April of 2003. It's much bigger than our two bedroom apartment, and so not as clean! :lol I have days where I catch the cleaning bug, and then others where that's the last thing I want to do!
I love to read for entertainment, go out to dinner and a movie, though that hasn't happened much since I'm exclusively BF, and DS2 doesn't always take a bottle. He gets me thinking he will, but then the next time he absolutely refuses. I know eventually he'll get hungry enough and take it, but it's not necessary. Hubby has a big screen TV now, so we can have our own dinner and a movie, much cheaper, too! :lol I used to do a lot of arts and crafts, but not too much anymore. We love to go camping and boating every summer and travel to MI every few months.
I let my babe sleep with me and am enjoying it very much. DS1 was never interested in sleeping with me, even when sick or scared (many times I didn't even know he was sick or scared. :( ) I have a Maya Wrap, but always thought DS1 was squished, so waited until he was able to hold his head up well, but now I can't seem to get comy with the hip hold. I know that's another message board, just wanted to mention I'm trying to "wear" him. I do not let my babies CIO, it breaks my heart and I want them to know I am there for them at any and all times they need me. I've been CD for a couple weeks now and got my first wool cover and it is awesome!
Well - hopefully some of you find me interesting! :o
