I am going to get me one of these....it is so much prettier than the other kinds I have seen....My mom said she would buy it for me if I wanted her
to and I told her yeah.
It is a nursing cover and i am just not one to flop my titty out in front of
everyone I would rather stay covered but blankets always fall off so I end
up having to go in another room when I am at families or friends houses.

I don't know if you are planning on using a sling at all, but once you get used to it you can nurse all the livelong day, anytime, anywhere, and no one is any wiser. They would have to get within 6 inches of you to see anything.

Just a thought!! It does take a little while to get the hang of nursing in public, but it is so great once you have it down!

That is the prettiest nursing cover I've ever seen. I tried the receiving blanket thing with ds when he was newborn, but he never went for it. This time I'm not even worried about it! After nursing ds for 3 years, I'm no longer shy. I agree with the pp who said that once you get the hang of things, it's really easy to NIP without showing anything at all. Most people don't even know you're nursing!

I didn't get up the courage to nurse DS in public til he was like 9 months old...so all of our NIP was well past the "acceptable age". :lol He WOULD NOT tolerate being covered though, in fact if I tried to use a blanket it looked like I was trying to conceal a tazmanian devil in a tornado under there.

It was MUCH more discreet to just latch him on uncovered.

I do plan on getting a sling but I would have her in it at families house or anything I
would basically only use it at the store. I can never nurse discretly I guess bc my
bbs are so huge and I can never find the right kind of shirts so my belly is always showing.

I just bought a Baby Hugger from Granola Babies, it's a wrap thingy that goes over your belly, so while pregnant, you can still wear your regular shirts, but when nursing, it covers up your belly! :thumb

That sounds interesting so did you order it over the net? How much did it cost? I
would really like to get one so my belly doesn't show when I am nursing.
