my dd (16 mo) has always slept better alone. she now sleeps in her crib until about 4am when she comes into bed with me, essentially because its quicker than getting her to go back to sleep in the crib. i spend the next 3 hours or so in a state of semi-sleep as she hurls herself across my body, sits up, rolls around, etc. if i don't put pillows on one side (if dh isn't there) she WILL hurl herself right out of bed. (this is awake behavior, not sleeping...like i said she sleeps better alone). she does sleep periodically, but wakes quite often and then engages in this exercise. we're going to add another babe to the family bed this summer, and i'm curious as to what i should expect from this one. does anyone else's dc do this? its not that i have a vision of her snuggling up and not moving, its just that its kind of like sleeping with a tasmanian devil.
