Is there such a thing as a baby ,monitor that has 2 monitors, rather than the two transmitters? I would like to be able to put a unit in each of my sons rooms and have the one transmitter in my room, so I can hear in both their rooms with one receiver? Anyone heard of such a thing? thanks

i have not seen such a thing. i don't think it is possible for one receiver to intercept signals from two places at the same time. you would need two transmitters and two receivers.

i am getting ready to buy another 'set' of monitors just like the ones i have now.i am planning on putting a transmitter in the nursery on channel 1 and a transmitter in the nursery on channel 2. that way whereever my ds is sleeping my one receiver can intercept the signal. but in your situation you would have to keep switching the channel back and forth to check on them since you can only listen to one channel at a time.

sorry!

We bought a second set of monitors when dd2 was born. So each dd had a base unit in each room and there were 2 receivers in our room and 2 receivers in the living room. We had them on separate channels and it worked pretty well. There was some occasional static, nothing major.

I wonder if you could go to a place like Radio Shack, a real electronics place, and talk about this sort of thing? It wouldn't be a cutesy blue and white monitor or anything, but you might be able to get such a thing!

It also might be more expensive. :o
