I didn't read the link you provided but I did read about this on msnbc. She talked about the 'agressive paparazzi', and my only thought was, wouldn't that make it even MORE important for her to keep her child safely in a car-seat??

*sighs* that poor kid.

Yeah, it is BS. We've been chatting about it over in the media forum, there are two threads on it:

The poll currently says 12% "believe her." :irked:

I haven't checked out the media thread ... I saw a news story earlier about the paparazzi hounding her, but then the photos came out looking a lot more peaceful than she'd first led us to believe.

LMAO! What do I have to 'let go'? Geez, I post ONE post about something on ONE thread and I gotta let something go...

Wow... let it go *rolls eyes*

Seriously, I'm not all over this, or all boohoo upset etc... Big deal. She's famous, nothing will happen to her, and I'm sure her baby will be fine, and rich and happy the rest of his life... I surely don't really pity him..

But way to go for you! I say 'poor kid', and you take it a bit TOO seriously there yourself ;)

What I don't get about it is if she was worried about the Paparazzi why did she not hand the child to her husband? why was the child infront of the window while they took pictures? I find it hard to drive while drinking coffee - how do you start a car, put it into drive while balancing a 5 month old? lol I guess she wasn't signalling either.

But if you are worried your safety is in danger - you'd speed away without putting the kid in a car seat, logic is abviously not her strong suit (can't wait to hear Jon Stewart on this one tonight) Like my favorite should have gotten a picture a guy on the highway in Texas packing 'heat' in the crack of his ass on his racing motorcycle, doing an excessive amount of speed not wearing a helmut.
He's so worried about personal saftey he's carrying a loaded gun in his arse crack but not wearing a helmut.

Some people truly are that stupid.
Brittany is now officially one of them part of the MJ parenting set.
Some dangle kids off balconies....glad my kids have 'normal' parents

It's much easier to drive if you let your baby hold your soy milk de-caf latte, I'm sure that's what Brittany was doing, in the interest of safety. :thumb

I saw it on the news a little while ago.

I cannot believe her. What is wrong with this girl.
If she was in such fear of paparazzi(sp) then why did she not strap the child in and have her body guard driving..

I feel horrible for the poor baby..got 2 stupid parents.

Brainless. "My child was in danger from aggressive paparazzi, so I'm holding him between me and an airbag/steering wheel. He's so much safer there."

Phhbt.

anyone else notice that her window is DOWN? if you were that freaked out by the paparazzi, don't you think you'd leave it up?

What I don't understand is how it could be easier to hold a squirmy baby (who's boobmilk-plump and surely taking up most of the space between her and the steering wheel) and drive off while trying not to run over a crowd of ravenous paparazzi (or maybe she wasn't? Heh) than to just turn around and spend 30 seconds strapping him into his carseat (which would also keep him out of paparazzi's sight).

I mean, HELLO?! That poor little baby. And to think she already wants to have another baby to "strengthen [her] marriage" with Kevin. STUPID. Or maybe just ignorant? This IS, afterall, the same girl who had an elective c-section to avoid the pain of childbirth :rolleyes

ETA - Okay, now that last part came across really rude. I really don't have a huge grudge against her or anything, but she really needs someone in her life to help her grow up.

I'm happy they are at least recognizing it in the media and frowning upon it. Extra did something on it tonight and said she's being called the "worst mother ever". It really was a bad idea, and she certainly doesn't look scared at all. I've seen some pics of him facing forward and others of him facing her shoulder. So not only can Brit drive, drink coffee, and hold her baby, she can also switch him into different positions, while avoiding the paparazzi. IMPRESSIVE to say the least.

I have come to the conclusion that she must have mental problem or on drugs.

Thank you.

As stupid as it is I hope CPS doesn't get involved. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Many people think that sleeping with our kids is just as stupid.

Also, wasn't Princess Diana trying to get away from the papparazzi and not wearing a seat belt? Logic defied her...........(I do think Britney is lieing about her reasons though. She doesn't look affraid.)

Whatever her reasons were, her "instinct" seems to be crap. Sorry Brit...I don't usually join in on the "what a moronic celebrity" threads, but seriously...!
