Anyone have one of these? I'm in the process of purchasing a new seat for my almost 4yo dd. She's currently in a Britax Roundabout. Much of the time, she complains that the straps are too tight (they're not, its a bit of a power struggle). I really want to keep her in a 5pt. harness, as she's barely 33 pounds, although I do love the looks of the Britax Parkway, but its only a belt positioning booster.

So, I'm thinking about the Recaro Young Sport, but I'm concerned about the wings on the side of the head, that she'll be bothered by them, and not be able to see well around them. Anyone have this seat? Do they present as a problem for your child? They seem quite plush in the pictures, are they really nice IRL?

I really wish we could go straight to the Parkway, because I think that would solve alot of the "Its too tight" issues we're having now. But I know that a five point is the safest, and want to keep her safe, too. I've been so happy with the Britax seats we've owned that I feel a bit loyal to Britax. However, the Regent seems soooo big, yk?

WWYD? Thanks!

My DS used the Young Sport until he outgrew it by weight, he was 46" tall and still had room in the harness. He had absolutely no problem with the wings, but he has also been in a Britax Wizard and a Boulevard which both have the wings and had no issues with those seats either.

It is an great seat, top quality and it is very plush. I found it very easy to install rock solid. It also turns into an fantastic booster once the harness is outgrown.

Here are some photos of my son in his Young Sport:

I was hoping you'd reply, uccomama :lol Actually, the wings don't seem so intimidating when you see them in use, compared to seeing a picture of just the seat, yk? I also just had a thought, maybe dd is telling me "its too tight" because the seat is just not comfortable for her anymore, and a step up would improve that.

Anyway, thanks for your experience with the Recaro. My dd2 would have no problem with it, as she's in a Wizard now, and is used to it.
