View Full Version : Seven weeks and no nausea - anyone else feeling fine?

I'm seven weeks today and have yet to feel nausious at all... I'm completely exhausted and fatigued but no vomiting or upset stomach yet.

Is anyone else not having upset stomach?

Don't get me wrong, from what I hear about it I'm very glad it hasn't struck me yet but I've also read that morning sickness means a stronger pregnancy and less of a risk of something going wrong ...

Anyone else heard that? I hate to think of it...

well, i'm not gonna say i feel fine... every day around 2 PM it's ike someone hits me in the head with a shovel and then i am on the couch shivering under the blankets.. and the queasiness comes and goes as does the heartburn, but all in all i feel okay. considering that last time i wanted to croak... i'm doing pretty good.

and my acute sense of smell is really driving me nuts too....

I can't say I'm completely nausea free, but I if I keep just a little something on my tummy it doesn't get worse than the initial flutters of queesiness. I'm at 8 weeks (according to my midwife), so I'm hopeful that I won't have the rough stuff I had with DD!

I am still nursing at least once each day. Someone suggested that could be the difference. Who knows, but I'm glad if it is! :)

Just lurking here right now...hope to join you all soon. But I wanted to comment. On my first pregnancy, I had no nausea or vomiting...except for 2 mornings! And I had a healthy uncomplicated pregnancy. Don't worry too much. Consider yourself VERY lucky. :)

I was pretty sick last time - from about week 6 to 12 - but this time feel fine (week 6, so it could still hit). I've worried about it too, especially since I did have morning sickness last time; but Ben's Mommy is right, we should feel lucky!!!! :)

I feel fine too. I am about 5 weeks now. Last night I noticed that my taste changed. It was like I had furry tongue and nothing tasted good. I did eat, but bleecK! I must have brushed my teeth 5 times so far today. My girlfriend said that this is a guarantee that I am really prego!

Will only post to agree, my successful pregnancies I always was sick, sometimes more, sometimes less, in the first trimester. And with all the misses I felt fine or only occasional slight nausea, even the later miss.

Everyone's different. My cousin has five children and has never experienced morning sickness (or miscarriage, for that matter) ditto with my sister-in-law, although she only has two kids thus far! :lol

With my 16yo DD I didn't get sick till later in my pregnancy.

I remember being 'huge' and being sick whilst working as a waitress, but I was not naseated at all early on.

Pregnancies are all different. With this pg, I fluctuate...smells sicken me sometimes & othertimes I'm fine.

The last time I was PG in November I was feeling nauseated, but I miscarried.

My last pregnancy, I didn't have any m.s., no queasiness, nothing but slight smell adversions. Very healthy pregnancy.

This pregnancy, I get "flutters of queasiness" every now and again, but nothing major. I just try to eat a little cheese or fruit, and I feel better.

My sisters never had m.s. either, and I don't recall my mom saying that she had bad pregnancies. Maybe it is genetic.

I just talked to my mom b/c I was sick last time, but not this time (so far) and I wanted to ask about her pregnancies (5). She said she was moderately sick when pregnant with me (first full term), VERY sick with my brother Ed (second) and not sick at all with my other brother Joe (third).

After spending a lot of time lurking to see if everyone has the same types of symptoms I'm having (insatiable fatigue, among other things) I figured I should de-lurk so I could share that at 7 (or is it 8?) weeks and I've had no nausea at all. My mom told me that with her 2 pregancies she had no morning sickness at all, so we're figuring it's a genetic blessing. :thumb

I'm thanking my mom for my genetics right now as well. I'm seven weeks tomorrow and I've had absolutely no nausea what-so-ever. I was also a bit concerned about it even though my sister didnt have any morning sickness with either of her 2 kids either, so I asked my midwife. She told me that lack of morning sickness is absolutely nothing to be concerned about, especially if your blood relatives didnt get it either.

I wish! I've been exhausted and have had a "hangover-like stomach nausea" for over a week now. And its the weirdest things that set me off - sausage, whipped cream, and chicken. But I haven't been actually sick to my stomach, thank goodness. Although, if being sick makes the nausea go away, I'll take being sick any day!

With DS I never had any nausia until the very end of the third trimester. Even then, it was never enough to make me throw up. The whole pregnancy was really pleasant! This time, I swear that I knew when I conceived because I felt naution at 5am after TTC on the date of ovulation (we had home OPK tests, so we knew the timing). I never get nautious, so I took it as a sign. I feel a teeny bit nautious until I eat breakfast this time, but still not mega morning sickness. Count yourself lucky :wink

Count yourself lucky :wink

I second that. I'll have to bail from this thread b/c I'm no longer in your happy camp - morning sickness all day for the last week or so. It's no fun, so please enjoy your nausea-free pregnancies for me! :thumb

I'm not sure how many weeks I am but completely nasuea free for now. I have a sneaky suspicion it is because I haven't begun prenatals yet. I've been taking one daily vitamins and eating folic rich foods but only found out I was pregnant last week. I pick up the prenatals on tuesday.

Well I'm now 9 1/2 weeks along and still no nausea... I already heard the heartbeat so at this point I'm very optimistic that all will be fine for us. Yipee!

I am still EXHAUSTED. I mean whipped. bone tired. But happily no nausea to deal with.

Wishing you all easy and healthy pregnancies!
