Planning a UBAC for baby #3. Due late Sept/Early Oct., but I seriously doubt I'll go early so I better join both DDC's.
I don't have an official due date, 1/ because I don't believe in them and 2/ because I honestly don't know when I'm due exactly.
Baby #1, DD Tempest at 30 months, was born naturally with midwife.
Baby #2 was a UP, and originally planned UC. I went into labour early (34 weeks) and felt compelled to go to the hospital, so I did. Unnecessary emergency c-section due to being breech. Jericho died 15 minutes after birth in his father's arms.

I've been so happy about a Valentine's Day present my DH got for me that I'm wondering what others have (or think they will) receive(d). Are any of you planning anything special for your DP?

My DH bought a three heart ruby ring for me. It was really inexpensive (had to be because we have a very tight budget), but I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for a while. So, now I have a lovely ring to wear on that finger. I'm so happy with it! He actually was planning to do some more stuff as a surprise, but we had a little family date on Sunday that used the funds he was planning to spend on the surprise. :love Just love my man! :throb

tori- that's so sweet, about the ring. i def. outgrow my wedding ring in my pregnancies.

we dont do anything for valentime's day. karl has suprised me with earrings and flowers before, sometimes i make a nice dinner.

i am starting to have smell aversions. it is reassuring to me, since it is hard to believe i am pregnant with no symptoms. and i was sort of crampy last night, afraid of the possibility of losing this baby,

how is everyone else feeling? for those with kids, have you told them? and for those without others, have you told anyone yet?

good morning!

tori, how sweet! my mil is going to watch the kids and we're going out to dinner, but i think that's about it here.

we haven't told the kids yet but it is so hard not to! my 4 year old is going to be so excited, i think. i'm not sure how long we'll wait but i want to feel more secure that this baby will make it before we do.

i've told a few friends, my mom, my dad, and my sister. i'm so thrilled that it is hard to keep it in, you know?

well i need to go help noah write his name on his valentines so off i go.

happy day to you all!

Has anyone heard of when it's best to tell little kids? I thought it was when you were showing, but I just can't wait to see how happy she's gonna be. Maybe after I hear the heartbeat?

tabitha and chrissy: thank you for commenting on DHs present. :)

tabitha: sorry you felt crappy, but glad it sounds like you're reassured. :) Funny how that works, huh?

DH and I told our DD we were preggo the day after we found out. She has been asking about a baby in my belly for MONTHS. She'd been telling me a couple times each week before we found out, that there was a baby in my belly. So, we wanted to tell her she was right as well as just share since she seems to have wanted a sib for so long. :)

Also, I know, because she's SO compassionate that she will be able to deal with my weirdness better, should I lose the baby, if she already knew rather than not. Does that make sense?

That said, I have read that it's best to tell young oldest children that another baby is on the way only a little before the belly starts showing, so they aren't totally wigged out by the growing girth. :) I think, though, we all just have to wing it and tell when we believe is best - just like just about everything else in parenting! haha

What are you ladies doing to exercise right now?
Look forward to getting to know you all!

tori- we also told the kids as soon as we found out ourselves. my youngest has no clue, but tristan seems to remember and asks about my baby in there a lot. he witnessed his sister's home birth, and i dont think he will ever forget.

more later!

Wow Tabitha, that's awesome that your oldest was present for homebirth. :) How old was he? I'm sort of hoping it will work out to have DD present, but she will be in the house the whole time even if Mimi ends up taking her to another room.

Morning,i actually have been feeling very little symptoms.I usually have a few weeks of nausea around 8-10 weeks but that is it.

I have 4 lil kiddos and the youngest was born last February. All my babes are homebirthed and my kids are always present at the birthings. The three kids got to watch Stella be born in February.I give them the choice to watch.I have not told anyone but my husband about this pregnancy.Once you have this many kids the family doesn't seem so excited. But my brother is having his first child this summer and i want to be quiet so he can get all the attention :)

Hi again,
Would you please remove me from this list? I started bleeding last night. It seems like this pg was over before it even began. I guess my little October baby just wasn't meant to be. :(

Good wishes to everyone else.
