Hi,
I've been reading the stories of people's experiences with m/c and they have been really helpful. I still have a few questions, though.

I started bleeding early this morning after getting a positive preg. test yesterday. I figure I'm only 4.5 weeks pregnant. The bleeding has been pretty much like a regular period, but with a lot of small dark red clots.

Here are my questions:

1. Do I need to see a doctor if I have no fever and I'm not bleeding super heavily? I really would like to avoid having a pelvic exam and don't want to be touched at all right now.

2. Should I go to work tomorrow? I'm hoping to go because I have very few days off, but I'm a teacher and therefore can't leave to go to the bathroom anytime I need to. I could tell the teacher next door, though, and I'm sure she'd cover for me if I needed it.

3. We've been ttc and would like to continue with it the next time I o. Is that too soon if I o in the next few weeks?

TIA for any advice you have to give.

Oh and I'm not sure what to make of the emotional aspect of all this. I only just found out I was pg, though I was pretty sure of it for a few days. I don't feel like I lost a baby, but I do feel like I lost a little spark of life.

:Hug I'm sorry! I know it is an early m/c but it is still a loss. And any amount of time you spend celebrating your pg and new little one makes it hard when it's over. I don't know the answers to most of your questions. I have heard lots of people on this site mentioning that the cycle after a m/c can be extra fertile. I also know some dr/midwives suggest giving your body a rest. Seems like you should do what feels right to you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I am not sure, but I think that is called a "chemical pregnancy" when you test pos. but miscarry very early. The embryo could have actually died earlier or maybe barely started to develop, but you still have the hormones that make a test +. As long as you don't continue to bleed, I would think you'd be o.k., but I'm no doctor. Second, I would take a day off just to clear your head. If you teach, chances are you'll be too distracted tomorrow to work. Third, I would WAIT until youv'e had at least one normal period before trying again. Totally different situation, but I am currently going thru a m/c after getting pg again after only 9 weeks from a full term loss. It is hard on your body, even if you had an early loss. Give your body at least one month's rest before you ttc again. Your head will be clearer as well (which is important). Best of luck-Brooke

Is it possible that you might still be pg and are bleeding for some other reason? I too am no doctor, but I know bleeding is possible during pg.
