Hi! I am from Ontario, specifically Barrie! Really looking forward to coming home, and trying to convince my husband that its not *that* cold up there. LOL. Can't wait to get back to my hometown and raise a family. Thanks for the OHIP tip...I have to re-apply for it prior to moving up to Barrie so that we're covered. I didn't realize that midwifery was covered, so that's a big help, thanks!

Yep, don't you just love Canadian healthcare? Totally covered whether you're having a homebirth or a hospital birth.

I'm more in the GTA area (east of Toronto). Barrie can be cold, but it's not that bad, lol.

Good luck! I hope you'll be able to make it back to Ontario before your little one arrives!
