I am 36 weeks, and am having a TON of Braxton-Hicks contractions. I've been having them since 8 weeks actually, but they are nearly constant now, and some are strong. I'm hoping that all of the uterine activity is not stressful to my c/s scar. We are planning a VBAC. Does anyone know?

To my mind, this uterine activity is a great thing! It's gently toning your uterus and your scar so there's no sudden contracting that could be stressful, yk? Each one sends a burst of oxygen-rich blood to your baby and your placenta as well. It's a win/win situation.

Thanks! (Even though I'm not the OP... :o ) I have been having strong and frequent BH for over half the pregnancy, too--some days they are nearly constant when I'm upright--so this eases my mind a lot.

I had BH contractions from week 18 on, and my VBAC went perfectly fine with no complications. Unfortunately for me, the BH contrax didn't do anything to dilate my cervix at all before labor, but maybe you'll be luckier than I was!
