Hi! Good for you for posting. I posted about it last week too :innocent
Happened to me too, but I think because the baby got big, not because of diet, and I spend a lot of time on my feet. I used a lot of Tucks, the usual Prep H, and tried to keep weight off my feet by laying down whenever I could. Pack some Tucks to take to work with you if you have to. Also - this totally worked for me but its very weird - I used Vicks Vapo-Rub! I was desperate and saw it mentioned on the Internet - I used it before bed and it burned something horrible, and I thought I'd made a baaaad mistake, but in the morning, I was 90% better. No kidding! So if you're really brave, give it a go! :)
Otherwise....just ask your dr. or midwife! Its embarrassing, but that's their job :) I know its really, really painful (not to mention weird) - good luck. I felt almost all the way better after about 5 days.

I had a sore bottom the other day -- hemmorhoids, swelling, irritation. I've used hemmorhoid creams in the past (pre-pregnancy) but would rather not use it now because of the icky ingredients. I was uncomfortable even after taking a shower and washing my bottom well, so I decided to try out the California Baby Calming Diaper Wash spray on myself. After a couple spritzes and a short while, I started to feel better and the swelling went down. Success! :D

Hey good idea - I never even thought of baby balm, but that makes sense.
